The forum mChat feature worked out fine last night. Until things are fixed with Ntex chat it seems a perfect alternative.

Site is back up, but still needs some major work....the forum still needs to be fixed. May be time for a new beginning at another site!

Tonight, we're talking about the Israel-Palestinian conflict!

1) John Kerry's Israel-Gaza mission was somewhat a success. He is still alive.
2) A cease-fire is in the works but Mel Gibson can still attack Israel.
3) It's hard to believe the US is providing advice on border security right now.
4) The Vatican came out and condemned the incursion in Gaza which is great, because all day yesterday, the Jews and Muslims were asking, 'What do the Catholics think?
5) Gaza is about the size of Detroit.  The US proposed switching the two constituencies, but Israel refused.   :o
6) Wizards of the Coast and Avalon Hill are coming out with a new war game, Israel vs. Gaza.  Israel has tank, artillery, and infantry units.  Gaza has ambulance, civilian, and tire burning units.

Tonight, we're talking about the Top World News Stories!

1) Hundreds of Colorado students protested history curriculum changes that would promote patriotism and family values and remove accounts of rebels and trouble-makers, except George Washington and MLK of course.
2) The US Air Force has test-launched an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile, the Minuteman III ICBM, to make sure they destroy the world right the first time.
3) ISIS is planning ‘imminent' terror attacks on New York and Paris subways; train schedule screens will show Justin Bieber videos over and over.
4) The United States has launched airstrikes against ISIS. It's being secretly called 'Operation Whack a Hole.'
5) The federal prison population has dropped by almost 5,000 people. It's expected to go back up once the NFL season ends.
6) Attorney General Eric Holder has resigned.  Protesters  in Ferguson, Missouri protested.
7) A new RPG book has been published, "How to Get Away with Killing D&D Rules Lawyers & Dice Roll Nazis."

For the first time in a long time, should be there tonight.  For some reason Friday's have been busy lately!

Perhaps I'll pop in later.  We'll see.  It's good to see that the site chat's up and running again, however.

Mike:  any word from Doug on restoring the rest of the site info/history?

Been a busy world around here of late and not much time to website work...

The problem is the database for the forums got hosed, but everything is in the same database... and I've no clue how to drop the tables that aren't needed etc and try to reinstall the forums portion.

So my only "fix" is to go back the last good backup from 2013 !

Then manually add all the people that have registered since then (well over 100) etc etc...

If I was a bit more database savvy, I could probably export the current info, restore from the backup, import the current stuff and be up in a short time, just missing a years worth of forums.

That's all I got, and haven't had time to do it since the site needs to be down while I do it.

I'll get to it I hope in the next couple of months

Doug,

What DB software are you using?  I'm an Oracle DBA and can possibly help - if you're using SQLServer or MySQL, I'll be of little help though...

Tonight, we're talking about Halloween!  You know you are too old for Halloween when:

1) You get winded from knocking on the door.
2) You ask for high fiber candy.
3) When someone drops a candy bar in your bag, you lose your balance and fall over.
4) People say, "Great Keith Richards mask!" and you're not wearing a mask.
5) By the end of the night you have a bag full of restraining orders.
6) You avoid going to houses where your ex-wives live.
7) You go to bed at 7:00 PM.

Tonight, we're talking about immigration!

1) Obama's plan will get rid of violent criminals, so update your Fantasy Football team quick!
2) Pope Francis will still be able to visit, even though he's another South American.
3) The Keystone Pipeline would actually be the second largest import pipe into the US.
4) Some politicians are upset Obama has done what they would have done months ago if they weren't so mad at him.
5) The CIA has revealed its ground-breaking facial recognition software to reveal illegal immigrants: Facebook.
6) The new Walking Dead spinoff features scantily clad, emaciated people, stumbling through fences: Running Scared.
7) The Gary Gygax Memorial features an alien creature with the body of a castle and a human head.
