By the way, what time does the chat usually start - or what time do the regulars generally show up?  I've yet to log in to one, perhaps I can try tonight.

I usually show up about 9:00 PM EST.  Beasterbrook is usually on-hand before that along with one or two others.  I say, "Evenin'" and he says, "mornin'."  It has been my experience that the majority arrive somewhere between 8:45 PM and 9:30 PM EST.   8)

finally got a chance to drop in after an incredibly long while. It was too late, though...everyone had left since it's mostly no longer Friday...maybe still in Hawaii, but definitely not Guam

Quick question. Packing up the house to move overseas. A lot of my books and games are going into long term storage. Is it sensible to put camphor sachets into boxes? This is to prevent pests obviously, but worried if it will damage books.

There has got to be a less smelly option.  I would not want my books smelling like that, even though a good airing out would probably eliminate the smell in a day or two, but I wouldn't want to take that risk.  I don't think it's the worst thing you could do.  Like you, I'd probably want to do something.   :?

I think you are right. Did some more research and camphor definitely not a good idea. Leaves books smelling very badly apparently. Just focussing on ensuring dry storage in a pest free environment. So much to pack!!!!!

Tonight, we're talking about the World Cup!

1) Uruguay's Luis Suarez bit another player. He also bit a Chinese player and then claimed he was hungry an hour later.
2) The World Cup happens every four years. It's like making an appointment with a VA doctor.
3) The US won a game, tied a game and lost a game while chanting "I believe that we will win the whole time."  :?
4) The great thing about soccer is that, if the US doesn't win another game, it's no big deal.  :|
5) The name of the game is "soccer" not football.  If if both teams end with the same score, you can call it a "tie" or a "draw."
6) If FIFA made a D&D an tournament, it would last a month and scantily clad drunk people would constantly cheer.  Cool!   :D

Yeah, England was knocked out of the World Cup. It's the most English people wiped out at one time since the last episode of 'Game of Thrones.   8O

Tonight, we're talking about the Malaysian jet crash in Ukraine!

1) Whats the difference between Qantas and Malaysia Airlines?  Qantas only looses money.   :ncool:
2) Putin doesn't know what the missiles are doing there. And he has no exit strategy. And he got that from us
3) Ukraine has been all over the news lately but a survey found that 64 percent of U.S. students still couldn't find Ukraine on a map. Said Vladimir Putin, "Soon nobody will."
4) Putin tried to deflect attention from the Malaysian air crash by going shirtless and arresting gay people.
5) Obama is trying to negotiate a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, but Obama didn't like Putin's demand that the summit be held shirtless and on horseback.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel was also vehemently opposed to the idea.
6) Putin's D&D alignment?  Awful Evil.
