Tonight's topics include;

1) Paper Tigers, Elitist imperial pig-dogs and running-dog lackeys, oh my!

2) Famous last adventuring words including;
"Was that thunder, or were you rolling damage?"
"What a useless scroll. It just says, HASTUR HASTUR HASTUR over and over
again..."
"Why is this man speaking in sign language?"
"I'll block the fireball with my shield."
"I'll take on the Tarrasque by putting this portable hole in the bag of holding while standing on its back and just jump off really quick."

3) Which is better, ESP or ESPN?

4) Who are the main stars and what is the plot line in Lemur Kingdom?  Inquiring minds want to know!

We had UK, Denmark, Canadian (in the USA though), Australian, American.

Advice Al from this recent chat, wear steel toed boots at GenCon, especially at the auction. King is on a mission and you won't stop him this time ;)

Sorry D, wife picked up No Country for Old Men at Blockbuster. Of course she fell asleep half way through, but I was in for the long haul. Hated the ending.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

The problem is that it has a very anti-climatic ending, you end up feeling cheated for having invested your time in the movie. IMHO best picture Oscar should have gone to There Will Be Blood... just a better movie (and Daniel Day-Lewis is a favorite of mine).

On another note, had fun last night on the "Lemur" chat, it was interesthing and fun to "meet" people from the forums, hope it wont be the last time :)

And elephant beer is 14 proof :P

Well, since you must know.  We were discussing different printings of some of the more difficult to find Judges Guild items and I brought up Tegel, as usual.  And that led into the story of you pulling my arm down at last years Gen Con auction when I was bidding on the Tegel Manor.  I simply made the comment that I would step on your heels if you tried that tactic again this year.

I had quite a few dark Irish and English beers before and during the chat.  Only God and Deimos know for sure what was said.

And here's the shocking conversation word for word! 8O

kingofpain89[10:20:11 PM]: Badabaskor and Tegel are still the only two JG items that I would like to have the different printings for. I cant decide which artwork I like better.
irbyz[10:20:46 PM]: not /original/ tegel in that case? *g*
PIaag[10:20:53 PM]: I like them both, but the Tegel map is just fantastic
irbyz[10:21:05 PM]: *nodnods*
jasonw[10:21:08 PM]: I read several of the Lovecraft essay collections and some of his racism is pretty blatent
kingofpain89[10:21:10 PM]: True. Original Tegel will be mine come Gen Con.
badmike3[10:21:19 PM]: Let's just say the KKK is very big deal in this location in the 1920s
irbyz[10:21:21 PM]: pro-cat, though
PIaag[10:21:25 PM]: Not if Al has a say
kingofpain89[10:21:27 PM]: That is unless Al tries to pull one over on me.
badmike3[10:21:37 PM]: Yeh one reason why he and Howard got along so well
kingofpain89[10:21:39 PM]: Oh no....Al is the one bringing me one.
badmike3[10:21:47 PM]: They had similar ideas about "inferior" human beings
irbyz[10:22:04 PM]: Al has Tegels? (*jk*)
deimos3428[10:22:12 PM]: a couple of observations.
jasonw[10:22:27 PM]: I have a copy of a national geographic article by Alexander G. Bell talking about eugenics
deimos3428[10:22:28 PM]: #1. Burger King does not have large overhangs over their sidewalks.
kingofpain89[10:22:32 PM]: I swear...he tries to pull my hand down at the auction again....I am going to step on his heel.:)
PIaag[10:22:32 PM]: not as many as he used to
PIaag[10:22:47 PM]: lol
irbyz[10:22:51 PM]: *can't decide whether to stick to Tegel or Hegel thread*
badmike3[10:22:51 PM]: Deimos got wet, it was a given
deimos3428[10:22:54 PM]: #2. Burger King has a large an unwieldy fence around their outside eating area.
PIaag[10:22:58 PM]: Remember which toe is the bad one
