Anyone heard from Steven lately?  Or is he out of contact and incognito in Pisa?

I'm finished photocopying his Antarctic Expedition (nice, authentic-looking Chinese hack-job), and have the copy all shrink-wrapped and packed up ready to fly to London.

No response to PMs, and furthermore (and most troubling), he hasn't posted on the Secret Acaeum Inner Circle subweb for a while.  Last known post was something about a recipe for a kick-ass mushroom pasta sauce and a tourney copy of R11.

I think he must be lost in the Houses of Parliement on important business dealing with Tony Blair's resignation...

(On a serious note, I think he's just afk for a little while & will be back).

He is probably sitting in front of his computer, logged on to the Dennis Detwiller blog and hitting the refresh button constantly...
waiting to hear when the DELTA GREEN: EYES ONLY printing will be available to order from Pagan Publishing...

At last... an internet connection !!!!!!

Huge apologies Stephen - for leaving you in the lurch without an address.  I stayed a few extra days in Pisa with some friends - and upon popping back my broadband router blew up (...well, there was a 'bang' noise and my connection to the rest of the world was abruptly severed  8O ).

But now am back (hooray!!!) , although as rightly pointed out, I have MA finals in a few weeks.  So, ought to keep my head down on the books...  :D

Grim, but totally horrifying - University of London regs have the MA final mark decided by 50% final exam and 50% Dissertation/coursework (to be in by Sept. 1).  I need a good grade to get onto the PhD programme.  Although am thinking about taking a year out and applying to some US schools.  Not sure about other subjects, but for Philosophy, the US doctoral programme is considered to be more comprehensive than the UK one (although it takes two years longer to complete).

Not panicking just yet. Will leave that till tomorrow.

Please, please tell me you have that on video.  As a sys admin, I'm dismayed at the number of electrical devices that die without so much as a peep these days.  It's rare to even get smoke. :x

 sadly no.  I got the late plane back and got home about 3am so it was v. quiet and when I swtiched it on.  I am not a technical chappy but there was a (loud) bang and then nothing - my access to ebay and porn was rudely cut off

I checked for a burning smell, but no smoke or flames sadly   :D

The best computer "explosion" I ever seen was unfortunately not video taped.
I was in charge of a team installing software at a hotel in my city about 7 years ago. We were using their older computers with Pentium II slot 1 processors assembled by a small local company. They unfortunately wedged the processors under the power supply so that the entire motherboard was bent down and almost touching the case (didn't know that when we started).
Somewhere during the install, the movement of the case migrated enough dust to the low point that a connection was made resulting in a spectacular flash that popped out enough smoke to set off the hotels detectors.  8O

Opening the case revealed a hole melted right through the motherboard and a fan shaped burn mark inside the case almost three inches across!!  8)

You must have past experience with the news business!! (or Hustler)
Your "out of context" but "factual" quotes are quite professionally done!!

"So tell me senator...do you still beat your wife?"
The headline then becomes "Senator denies beating his wife".  :P
