Of all the rarity 5 items indexed, it seems like the First Quest cassette is by far the rarest.  I think I've seen every other category 5 item for sale on Ebay atleast once (not counting obscure printing differences, pre-pubs, or player/dm/designer copies as different items).  Does anyone have any idea how many of the cassette versions were produced?  It seems like the LP version was primarily sold in the UK, was this the same with the cassette?  Aside from the one sold in July, 2003 have any others turned up?

I think it's more likely that we're just not looking that hard.  As it's not a paper product, some folks just aren't interested at all.  Also, it's bound to show up in the "wrong" category and/or without the right keywords.

Rare, sure.  The rarest?  I have my doubts.

More to the point, yes.  There have been at least three:

Q3 2003: $55.00
Q3 2004: $45.00
Q1 2005: $60.48

All in roughly NM.  (The last was recorded by yours truly on behalf of the Valuation Board.  There may have been more since, but I'm no longer tracking them.)

This is interesting. I find my first quest cassette in a box. Interested, I type a search into Google and here I am In a thread started a mere two weeks ago. I'm not sure if this is quite as rare as you think. I have one too.

For the record, the video features some seriously sub-par acting. It's nothing to scream about.

I think they're discussing the First Quest music album, which was released on a vinyl record as well as a *music* cassette.  Not the First Quest VHS video, which was released quite a bit later, IIRC (and as you state, is probably not that rare at all!)
