At least not with that email address and name, but nothing stops them from using another.

Here's a new one to add:  davedave2006

I made a deal to buy one item from a bulk lot of minis he had posted.  He sent me his offer then reneg'd on it only to list it separately at more than the original lot of everything cost.

I can just imagine this guy running his store.  Probably asks kids to open up their magic cards at the register before paying to see if there are any rares then runs off to Ebay to check prices to charge the kid.  Too shady of a dealer for me.

Add to list:  dccomic

Mainly deals in comics, so it probably won't affect too many of your, but I wanted to mention it anyway, as I felt it was such crap.

Basically, he sent me a couple less than fantastic items, so I left honest neutral feedback.  My exact words:  "Not as nice as described. Picture cut off so wear not visible."

He then proceeds to email me asking why I didn't ask for a refund?  Because spending $5 to recoup a total item price and original shipping of $8 isn't really worth my time, so let's just move on.

So his response is to report me as a non-paying buyer and to accuse me of feedback abuse.  Clearly, I should ignore it and move on (which is what I had already tried to do...), but now I have to respond to ebay and refute all this garbage.

By all means...you must answer Ebay.

This guy is trying to smear you and get away with selling sub-par items.  Don't allow him to bully you!

I don't see your neutral feedback up there so it must have been removed.  I also notice that one of the feedback suggests they don't take credit cards through Paypal which is probably a violation of policy too.

Is it just me?

It seems I've noticed an unusual amount of idiots selling things lately.

I mostly shop for used records, old 60s bands. But the sellers don't seem to understand money=grade of item, and want top $ for pieces of crap.

I haven't noticed an unusual rise in bad sellers.

I have noted the sharp decline of Troll and Toad to the point where even I will not buy from them anymore.  (What's the point?  They have a great price on an item they either turn out not to have in stock or they ship it so poorly it gets destroyed.)

I have noted a sharp increase in shipping ripoffs...and I have noticed that it is no longer possible to report this category to Ebay (presumeably because they now take a cut of shipping as well).

In the past month I have noticed the following types of sellers:

  1. Sellers who disappear after selling an item.  The item has sold for a lot cheaper than what they expected, and I quickly make a PayPal payment.  The common denominator is that my PayPal is not accepted; maybe this indicates some scam being run using eBay and PayPal.
  2. Sellers who try to charge more after the sale for shipping.
  3. Sellers who pack poorly.
  4. Sellers who sell items that are all screwed up, such as trashed DVDs, trashed musical equipment, trashed whatever.

I ordered one item from them this year. The wrong one safely arrived.

But you can still leave a low DSR in the shipping cost category.

Aren't we about due for another TnT apologist to pop up on the board and let us know how they are going to right the ship over there?

That's the third pattern:  The Wrong Item

I have been a Troll and Toad apologist in the past.

Emphasis on past.

I was thinking more along the lines of the "new Troll and Toad employee" who discovers this site and decides to defend their practices.  I would have put you in the "pro" TnT category, however, and to see that they have become undefendable even to their defenders is telling.

I'm going to add:  dungeoncollector
Also known as: DiscSlinger on various forums

I think it is a clear case that he is shilling his auctions - new account, bid only one his auctions, bids on Group One modules, a pipe, and the voice recorder.  It amazes me how stupid some sellers can be.

Since Keith was nice enough to post his telephone number: Keith, 214-254-1517

it might be worthwhile to see what he has to say about it.
