Might be able to make Oktoberfest. If there's any chance of meeting up there, it would be a blast  8)

I plan on being at Essen this year, work & money permitting as well  :D.

Mount Celestia doesn't want me and Baator's afraid I'll take over.

Has some good venues.

Some very good venues.  But they can be pricey and often booked well in advance.

A possible alternative.  Although you're unlikely to get enough people together to fill the whole place.

Although it used to be a lot cheaper to stay there and probably more conducive to marathon gaming sessions.

Nice one, John.  That brings back a few memories, although they seem to have cleaned it up a bit since I was there last!

I'll try and wade in for an appearance....

I assume this calls for traditional beers, mead & lazy afternoon in local 14th Century hostelry   :D

And of course it is traditional for red_bus to get his woody out for everyone to see ...

He's gone off the deep end with this one:

I'm sitting on the toilet pushing out a brown log reading my new magazine baby !

You know that guy irritated the piss out of me, but I just almost snarfed jello when I clicked on that link.  I was expecting something goofy, but I was not prepared for that madness!  It like reached out and smacked me in the face.
