No kidding.  I wish I still had mine.  It was the coolest damn toy.  I think it had three interchangable arms.  One of them had a power grip and I think one had some kind of light in it.  And another arm had a hidden compartment with some odd looking cable that came out of it.  I also had an astronaut suit and helmet for it.  Lots cooler than G.I. Joe!  :D

Good Lord! I remember that!

(Now I have to get one again, just for old times sake  :)  )

I still swear by my Battlestar Galactica cylon with the little moving light-up eye (I can almost hear the sound effect).  By your command.

The one with the press down button on the backpack that lit up the plastic "laser fire" coming out of the gun ?  :)

That's the one :).  I found it again in the bottom of a box of old junk at my parents' house last summer.  It doesn't work any more, but it sure brought back memories.  I immediately had a flashback to the toystore where we bought it.

I had the best: A G.I. Joe. But not just a regular G.I. Joe, this was the KUNG-FU GRIP!

I had that one, too.  Which explains why my sister's Barbies all had bruised tits.

Man, seeing that $6 million man is tempting.  Maybe I'll just buy the sucker for the hell of it.

Did anyone here have one of those ROM Spaceknight toys with all of the electronic attachments?  They always advertised them in the Marvel comic books back in the early 80's.  I wanted one as a kid but never got one.  I have always wondered if they were as cool as they looked or if they were just another junk toy that looked fun to play with but in reality was about as fun to play with as a box.

I did a search on Ebay last night but didnt find anything.

I'm sure you saw dozens of the actual Marvel comics, though, right?  :)

Good old ROM: Spaceknight ... I swear, I can't give them away. I've stopped listing them; they were just costing me money. :)

Some of the ROM comics weren't that bad.  I actually picked up the entire run for ten bucks a decade or so ago.  I still think they ought to upgrade him, turn him into a villain, bring him back, and let him loose.  He causes all sorts of chaos in the Marvel U. for a while.  In the end he comes to his senses and sacrifices himself taking out some super bad guy in the process.  :D

I'd buy it.  I bought Onslaught Reborn for chrissakes.

Scary.  I thought they were chrome colored?  That looks kinda brownish-gray to me.  :)    I guess if I ever bought one I would kinda want it to look brand new...with all of the parts...and the box.

Just look at now:  13+ hours to go, 71 bids (not counting about 15-20 cancelled) from 50 bidders, now at . . . $9,900,100.00 !!!! Maybe this should be under the ridiculous items/prices thread instead! 8O  8O

Question for all.

Is it against eBay policy to send out emails to your past customers that you have new items up for auction? If true, why?

Not sure if it is but I get them all the time, even one from a member here. I don't mind them ( sometimes there are good items )  but I would just add a "if you wish to not recieve, etc" let me know..

After reading your post I did a quick Ebay help search and found the following hit using "contact past customer":

Security Measure

Unfortunately, by their definition, I would imagine that they consider your email spam since it did not originate from their system as a 'store' or 'favorites' newsletter which the user must signup to receive.  Their definition of spam is that the email is both unsolicited and commercial.

I for one appreciate your D&D latest Ebay offerings email since I signed up for your 'Favorite Sellers Top Picks' back in March.  Please keep them coming.  I am more than happy to receive your D&D spam over the V1aG0RA or C1aLi$ crud that floods my inbox. :D
