Hi Jason

I'm a buyer, not a seller, but my sense is that selling them in your eBay store singly or in pairs is the way to do it, unless the minis are very common or originally came as sets.

Selling them as singles is slow, but you can often get $4 or $5 for a relatively common single mini that way.

Check out the way these sellers do it:

Azhag2000

eBay listings

Vintage Miniatures

eBay listings

Silverhawk

eBay listings

Definitely sell the rare or more collectible ones (e.g. monsters, pre-slotta Citadels) as singles.

On the other hand, common figs like Grenadier AD&D Gold PC races don't often fetch high prices except as sets with their original boxes.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll end up watching a couple of weeks worth of mini's auctions to look for bidding "trends."

I dont know where you found that, but that is damn funny.  That actually appears to have been started out as a shill revenge feedback though account, look at the first feedback he ever left.

You gotta love their slogan on their auction listings:

"Where low prices come first and service comes second".

And right on their listings "Caveat Emptor/Buyer Beware".

They're also closing in on 25 thousand negs!!

It's like picking up a streetwalker whose name is "STD Sally" and wondering why you got the clap a few weeks later.....why do people even bid on stuff with a seller like that?

Wow, that's great ... I don't even remember that guy. :)

One I do remember, though, is a clown named something like jeffjon. We had him down to like -7 before eBay had enough. Let's see if I can find him ...

[searching ...]

Aha! Found it! Yep, it was -7 ... and I left him his first neg. all the way back in 1998!  :)

Yeah, no kidding ...  :)

Actually, I think it's more from eBay's "Wild West" days that we discussed a few weeks ago in another thread. Seriously, from the time I got on (mid-1998) until some more stringent rules were added in the early 2000s, eBay definitely attracted every whacko, scam artist, and pure loser known to mankind. It was every man for himself, and one of the only ways to defend yourself was with the threat of caustic feedback.

But, yes, I do look back on my 1998 and 1999 feedback and just laugh ... I ran into my share of losers, that's for sure.  :)

Holy sh*t!  I saw that as $600,000, not $6 million!

That's a huge premium to pay for the Duke's Charger.

I guess this is how John makes his living now that he is off Smallville.
