Oh and here is a follow up story about on the Pittsburgh Post Gazette?:

http://www.pittsburghpostgazette.com/pg ... 33-100.stm

The really interesting part of it is this note:

The other development is that the rare Rolling Stones collection Mawhinney is claiming to be worth $10,000 can be purchased on eBay for $599.

Thanks Shane,
Amazon Canada does not carry it. If you can do that when you get a chance please let me know. If you want paypal I'll kick in extra to cover the fees.
Just send me a total.  :D

Alright, email or PM your address, I'll see one if it can be done straight through Amazon, otherwise we'll go the long shipping way.

Anybody happen to record the Super Bowl?  I missed it, and would really like to see the whole game as it was broadcast.

Thanks!

Wonder if Al even woke up when the quake happened?  He is pretty close to the epicenter according to the news.  Anyone else in Great Britain get shaken up?

POC of Yog-sothoth.com who posts here as PaulofCthulhu felt it where he lives.

He posted about it on yog-sothoth earlier (around 1 AM his time).

Details from USGS with links to maps of the area.

OOOO   - I felt it when I was eating muy bacon sandwich earlier!

Just a slight, unusual trembling sensation though - nothing more exciting than that.

(Good to know though - I work alone at night in a small hotel, and it's quite easy to get the jitters in the wee small hours - especially when there's a gang of thugs in the area at the moment knocking over small hotels!!!(another way that the Acaeum Forums help in my daily life :D ))

My wife said that she felt the quake but I slept straight through (i'd only had one pint last night as well!).  We live in Birmingham.

A couple of people at work said they felt it also.

According to the BBC the epicentre was in Lincolnshire.

Hi

the earth moved for me  :D

We went to bed late, and were still awake.
The bed sort of jumped a few times, and the whole house creaked a lot.
A few alarms went off outside.
Lasted about 5 seconds where I am (essex).

Got up and looked round the news channels, then Missus got a bit worried when she found out the epicentre was market Rasen, as her sister and her 2 kids live about 5 miles from there, and at the time there were no damage/casualty reports.

Cheers,
Malc

Interesting.  I was on Svalbard last week when there was a 6.3 quake about 120km from Longyearbyen, where we were stationed.  Pretty damn loud, and certainly seemed pretty strong.  Apparently, it was the strongest quake ever recorded in Norway.

Blame global warming. The earth can move now that its getting some of that nasty permafrost off it.

Thanks Al!

I wish I was in a position to come to Gencon this year.
I have another Chaosium monograph being published in April (Mysteries of Tibet).
It is my understanding that most of them are sold at cons.
I would have liked to be there to promote mine, but unfortunately cannot swing it either timewise or financially.   :(

Maybe next year...
