Yes, that is it exactly.  Whichever toy we got for our son came with "Issue # 1" in above link.

Since I'm specifically looking for the issues pertaining to just the first movie, I'm wondering how to best identify them, especially if the TPB version is OOP.

Thanks,
Keith

You just need the first TPB then.  The series kicked off with the movie adaptation, after that original stories, it collects the first 20 issues of the comic and was a $30 cover price originally .  Even thought OOP, the first few TPBs are the easiest to find.  Try www.darkhorse.com to see if they have any others still in stock.

I guess Kynan isn't content with just one copy of The Ringbearer or even two for that matter:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

** expired/removed eBay auction **

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I didn't even bother to bid on the last one as it would have made more sense to just hammer my self in the head with a ballpine hammer, and no I could really careless that all three are different colored covers. Thats right 3 auctions in one weeks time and he won all three.  What a f**king dick.

Is he a print run junkie? Cause you know for damn sure I'd do the same for Judges Guild stuff if it fell like that (have on the Character Codex, but that was two different printings, and the 3rd such auction was a duplicate - all had the same 2nd place bidder)

We are doing damn good though this year, just have to hope for a great March :D

I've watched more games this year then ever, which I usually don't do.

Maybe, but it doesn't make it any less of a dick move IMO. I view that type of behavior as "hostile" to the marketplace and as a precursor to someone trying to corner the market or to ensure that a certain item(s) goes for a certain price.  Those types of actions land people quickly on my "blocked" list...

And BTW, I think that's the first time I've ever used that particular emoticon.  Cool!

(Hope this okay to post)
Sorry to bring anyones mood down. Had a bit of a shock earlier today when I was told an old manager of mine had killed himself. I was only in the store a few hours before it was announced to the staff & was walking around thinking of another colleague who had sadly passed away in December. :/

If Only ~ Alexander  Shaumyan

(for Missy)

If only the movie were as good as the book,
And people weren't judged by the way that they looked
Or spoke, or dressed, or the way that they laughed,
If only this planet were spacious enough...

A twelve-year old boy killed a six-year old girl,
With violent blows he ended her world,
And somebody spoke: "If only...
If only we weren't so lonely..."

If only we knew how to love and to give,
To renounce our pride, if we learned to forgive,
If just for a moment, if only...
If only we weren't so lonely...

There's sadness in me, I can feel it each day,
As my youth slips away and my hair turns gray,
While the aging musicians, with their former hit songs,
Try in vain to look young with their youth all but gone,
And all I can think of: if only...
If only we weren't so lonely...

Yet time keeps on ticking and we cannot hide
The truth and the hurt and one more suicide
That made today's paper--if only...
If only we weren't so lonely...

But sometimes I wake to the radiant sun,
That's letting me know that the day has begun,
And I look at your smile, and it seems to explain
Why life has its moments of pleasure and pain,
Why the sun still returns at the end of each rain,
As I look at this world sad and lonely...
Then I look in your eyes, the eyes of a child,
That remind me of when we were crazy and wild,
Those eyes that keep saying: "If only!"

Mount Celestia doesn't want me and Baator's afraid I'll take over.

Ninty-eight Blue and Green Slaad at the door, Ninty-eight Blue and Green Slaad, Take one down, they gate in two more, Ninty-nine Blue and Green Slaad at the door...

You have my condolences.

I have had people around me lose people close to them in the past year.  I have been spared any direct losses and count myself fortunate.

Winterwords, mine as well.

Something else also crossed my mind as I read the poem, but I can't remember the exact phrasing of the last (?) two lines; it goes something like, "Of all the words spoken or written/The saddest are these: 'What might have been'. "

It's a crime to collect different printings? I am in SOOOOOOO much trouble...
Kynan is actually quite a nice guy. It's eBay. The highest bidder wins. besides, brian, if you had gotten it on the cheap, you'd have just resold it, no?

No. Number of Ringbearers in my collection? Zero.  I only sell of what I have thats extra or what has zero interest to me.  And we will just have to agree to disagree about Kynan, he already had strike three against him looonnnngggg before he decided to win every Ringbearer on Ebay.

It does seem that both your opinion of him and your opinion on people who buy multiples of everything have changed over time though.  I guess that happens when you go from buying mode to selling mode.  Whatever. *shrugs*

Yeah, Kynan is a nice guy.  Very friendly and nice to communicate with.

And if I recall correctly, 1 of only 2 or 3 members here who actually donated something to Paul's benefit auction for Jeff Perren.
