Romo was very sharp.

I have both him and Bulger in a league, and pondered who to start. In the end I went for Romo as I thought NYG would give up a lot of yards, whereas Carolina would be pretty tough. It was a good call.

But I also have Chicago and Dallas defences in a league, and decided to start Dallas as I though Chicago would leak points againts LT, and Dallas DEF would tighten up under Wade. Not such a good call I guess.

Eli also had a pretty good game... the best I've seen him play, thats for sure.

Mike

Viewed from the point of view of the Pacific Northwest and the Pac 10....

Michigan's two opening losses do not look all that surprising.  Oregon is in the Pac 10.   The idea that Michigan was going to somehow get well against a Pac 10 opponent was just silly.

Apparently, Michigan fans are also mad that they lost the Rose Bowl?  What's with that?  Aren't Big 10 schools totally accustomed to going to the Rose Bowl and losing?  Michigan, in particular, has been on the receiving end of some memorable Rose Bowl butt kickings...delivered by the cleated toes of Pac 10 champions.

The best thing that ever happened to the Big 10...as far as winning a national championship on New Year's Day goes...was for the BCS series to get them out of having to get beat in the Rose Bowl.

What astounded me...going into the weekend...was all of the TV prognosticators under the delusion that Boise State would beat Washington in Huskie Stadium.  To repeat...Pac 10.  Pac 10.  (Yes...I know they were on a long win streak going into the game...Pac 10!  Yes...I know they beat some Pac 10 teams in that run...but Washington is in the Pac 10, and they were in Huskie Stadium. End of streak.)

I am fully convinced that the Florida powerhouse teams...Florida State, Florida and Miami...would do very well in the Pac 10, but no way would they come out of the Pac 10 season year in/year out,  without a couple of defeats along the way.  Pac 10 teams don't usually get to a bowl game without a couple of losses...because they play against each other.

God!  Michigan fans need to grow up.

Bleh...I was going to attempt to argue against your point with statistics and unbiased evidence...but it would take a very long time to dig up all that, and I just dont have the time to do so.  So I will just say this:  Without USC the Pac 10 would be a second tier conference.  And how can anyone say that the Pac 10 is better than the Big Ten?  The Big Ten has eleven teams!  That automatically makes them the better conference.

God!  Pac 10 fans need to shut up.  PDT_Armataz_01_27

ROMO!!!!

If you had the Cowboys QB in your fantasy league, or in real life, you are living large right now!!!!!

Cowboys 45, Giants 35

Romo had one single mistep, a bad INT in the 2nd half, but otherwise put up 345 yds and 4 TDs.  The offense looks great...the defense, eh, they better get a LOT better unless they plan on scoring 40+ pts every week.

But being 1-0 on a week when you beat a NFC East rival, AND the Beagles lose, is sweet...!

Mike B.

No kidding....Romo looked almost unbeatable.  So much for all the critics who said he was a fluke.  I was also impressed that pansy boy Eli Manning actually played as well as he did.  He was lucky though.  Did Dallas actually blitz once last night?  And I thought it was hilarious every time John Madden said "Why didnt he throw it to Plaxico?  He was wide open."  Apparently Plaxico was wondering the same thing.

If Dallas is going to stand a chance against anyone else they better get their secondary problems fixed and quick.  Roy Williams looked like a lost puppy out there last night.  :?

I was surprised that T.O. wasn't throwing a tantrum on the sidelines by the end of the first half! :P
Must have been something mentioned at half-time since Romo hit T.O. for a touchdown early in the second half.

I thought Parcells was still coaching the team for a moment.

You know, all the games last year where the Cowboys coaches seemed to forget one of the top five WRs in the game is actually PLAYING FOR YOUR TEAM!!!!

Sheesh.

"Hey, who's this guy on the bench over there?  He looks familiar...oh EFFFF!  It's TO! Hey, let's THROW HIM THE BALL!!!"

Then boom, two TDS, game over.  Maybe next week they'll remember his a lot earlier in the game and not have to bite their nails at the end.  I've predicted 20 TDs for TO this year, he's on pace for 32 so far    I actually have quite a few bets to that effect with some TO hater buddies. In this offense, it's not impossible. Hell, Romo might have 40 TDs when it's all over at this pace.

E-whine looked great because when you can have your best WR run ten yards, turn around, and then throw it to him while he's completely uncovered, you are going to pile up some stats. Hope Newman's foot gets better really quick...
Also hope the TE from the Bills recovers enough to at least walk...man, you hate to see that kind of thing. He's a Texas boy, too.

Wait a minute, their "top 5 receiver in the game" was out hurt. Didn't Glenn have a bad ankle or something?

Wow, so many red flags in that blog...

Reading that, I really got a picture of the end of D&D as we know it...this shit is going to suck money, time and effort enough to send the entire project into the crapper.

I've used Agile and Scrum.  It's an interesting methodology, but like anything it's got its downsides...  Not the least being that you can end up going around in circles or just spinning your wheels if the customer can't make up their mind.

That said, I'd like to hope that bit about delaying launch because they'd rather a quality launch than an on-time launch isn't just marketing spin.  The D&D brand may have a lot of clout, but they're still going to have to make a product enough people will actually want to use if they're going to hope to make a profit from this.

Random note for American shippers using the priority mail flat rate boxes:

If you're using the squat boxes (I believe they're the 8.5"x11"x6" or so ones), it might be worth your while to tape along the edges of them, and not just the edges you'd normally tape.  I've had two arrive in the past month or so, both of which had split in the same spot -- down one of the corners starting at the top and going for a few inches.

(Basically, from the top of the corner you can see in sample image downwards along that edge.)

I was involved in design and project management for a company in Moncton from 1997 to 2001 called cyberDesign that was using the standard waterfall methodology. Scrum and Agile both sound like a nightmare to manage development costs. If money is no object then that would not be a problem but I cannot see how you would be able to meet milestones for time-to-market if the specifications keep changing.  8O
