Nothing too unusual for me. Last year we rented a cabin out in the woods to play an all-night session (
3.5e), and ended up getting a nasty snowstorm. We just kept the fire stoked and had a ball! About 20 years ago we played Call of Cthulhu while camping in southern Ohio in an area that was a reclaimed strip mine and a wonderful campground - very quiet and private. Creepy place to play
CoC, though.
I'd love to get my current group on a real camping trip, but they're all soft homebodies, even the one who's an Eagle Scout.
