Is the Conan Role Playing Game, 1985 TSR 7014, a rare item?  I don't recall ever seeing a copy of it for sale on ebay.  Occassionally I see the CN1 CN2 and CN3 modules, but not very often.  For that matter how rare is Red Sonja RS1?  That's another one that rarely shows up at auction.  Were they a bad concept and just didn't sell well?  Any information would be appreciated.

It's not that rare, I just sold a copy on Ebay with all the modules, I think I got about $40 or so....

RS1 Red Sonja does tend to go for quite a bit more than the others.

I sold a box in shrink a couple months ago for not too much $$$. I see them pretty regularly.
The Conan modules are pretty common also.

Rare.. relative to what? The context matters.

I see Conan sets about as often as an OCE set, but less often than the D&D Basic Set (1st print, onwards) or say a Boot Hill boxset, and far less than the later print Basic, Expert, and Companion sets (for example).

I see conan modules about as often as say an N5, but far less than the common D&D stuff like Q1, C1, C2, etc. However, I'd say they are about as common elsewhere.. I just think they don't get posted a lot online because the market is weaker.

Of course, I don't actively look for the Conan stuff...

RS1's show up about as often as a B10 or something like that.. so it's somewhat hard to find (at least in good shape). That said, there's one up right now :)

True.  Rare isn't the word to use really.  I see quite a few CB1 and CB2's for sale.  Less of the CN series by quite a bit.  And least of all the Red Sonja.  The box set I'm not sure about but I am going to watch for it.  I was just wondering if the relative rarity of the CN modules and the Red Sonja module has to do more with unpopularity rather than print runs.

Keep in mind that the Conan Boxed Set (and the associated CN modules) is not D&D (rather it is a completely separate RPG), and these are not covered on the Acaeum, which may have effect on popularity versus CB1-2 and RS1, which were for AD&D.
