I have friends that I would likely give my life for, but if I were dropping a $1000 on their behalf I sure and hell would make sure that they had the freaking money to cover it before hand! I am the person who originally posted this auction here, and I sent danteisevil a message via Ebay shortly thereafter. I didn't directly give him the link to the forum, but I did encourage him to google cougie's name and "m-bags". It's not hard to follow the trail from there.

Considering cougie has never shown an interest in posting here before, I'm not sure why a supposed "shill" of his would bother to come here and defend himself repeatedly.

Furthermore, most of the contact I've had with danteisevil has been outside of the Ebay messaging system, which would be useless if this was some sort of honeypot attempt by cougie to gather evidence to get a bunch of us banned from Ebay. Frankly, I don't even think he's that smart to try something like that.

I'm not sure what dante's lack of frothing outrage at cougie proves, either. If I was in his position, I'd probably be trying to look at things optimistically as well. If things are as they he says they are, then 1.) it's too late to do anything, 2.) he hasn't (yet) been actually ripped off, and 3.) hopefully the fact that dozens of people are monitoring this transaction will keep cougie from trying any of his shenanigans.
