Please be advised that at any rate, I'm not sharing anybody's eBay correspondence with anyone else - other than this transaction by the individual who purchased my lot.

Really, I wanted to keep the buyer's emails confidential, too - but after he wouldn't drop the whole thing, I wanted those of you who HAVE dealt with him to compare this conversation to those many of you may have had.

I genuinely appreciate the warnings - as a seller who CANNOT afford a huge chargeback, the emails were truly appreciated.

Titanium rated he may have been at the time, but that didn't stop him from breaking the rules.

You are welcome to remind him of that if he gives you grief about ebay policy vs. warning people.

I e-mailed both with the warning about M-bags. Probably wouldn't hurt if others did too.

This was what I sent:

Be advised that M-bags are not trackable and if the seller decides to do a Paypal chargeback, you are out the money. This has happened several times in the past as evidenced by the feedback.

Well spotted guys but this looks like it was organised by Cougy as his pathetic attempt to show he can still win large auctions. He was seriously disgruntled about missing out on that last bulk buy because of his sordid past. This guy is obviously Cougys american connection. He won the items
off Grafxfx about a week ago.Now he is selling them on specifically for
Cougy with an extra £70 added for postage and handling.I am sure the
transaction will be just fine and the seller/accomplice will be harping on
about how safe M-Bags are and people should use it with assurance. He He

He is showing us all that he can still win American Bulk Auctions, and thereby still get past the Cougy blockade.

Also be advised anyone who sent warning emails will most probably have them forwarded to Cougy and then to the ebay complaints department.
This my friends is a Cougy sting operation.(despite the fact that we are just doing a public service)

If you check DanteisEvils feedback his last transaction for the goods above that he is passing on to Cougy that he won from Grafxfx has the
usual posting in the questions setting of the auction.

Q:  I live in UK, but have a mate in USA with USA address, you could send it to him & he;ll get it to me, of course once he has it your part is done, this...more Apr-13-07
A:   Dave, Sure you can bid as long as the address is in the USA. I hope your mate can get it over to you without any difficulties. Sincerely, Thomas eBay...more

So Cougys american mate is DanteisEvil.

He could have easily just sent it without relisting it on ebay for Cougy, but
you know that arrogant idiot thinks he has got one up on us and wants all
to see it. Plus he wants his "m-bags are great" feedback drivel!

Anybody care to work out how profitable all this has actually been for Cougy? The items do appear to be in excellent condition. How much will he actually make on this lot?...heres hoping it gets lost at sea!

Wow, I am amazed.  That is a great catch ATOM. I am impressed.  Its funny, I defintely recognized that auction and I was really confused when I checked the sellers completed items and came up with nothing, because I was fairly certain that it was only within the last week or two.  Wow, Dave's patheticness seems to know no bounds.

Im learning from the master which is your good self! Its rare anything gets past you my good mate. You are correct as usual what a pathetic
individual Cougy really is. Expect lots of pro M-Bag feedback next from
Cougys buddy....also a "Cougys mate in the USA is DanteisEvil" forum heading. All i can say is congratulations to the Acaeum for informing and
protecting proper D&D collectors and traders from shady dealers like Cougy.More power to you all!

It's an interesting question. It's been a long time since I put up a listing on Ebay, but I would assume the fees on a $1K auction are not insignificant, plus probably Paypal fees to send $1100 to his co-conspirator (unless they've got something else going), plus whatever he's paying him for his time.

This sure seems like an awfully expensive way to get a single "M-BAGS ARE TEH GREATEST AND SO ARE YOU COUGIE!!1!" feedback that will disappear into the void of all his TITANIUM POWERSELLER feedbacks in a week or two anyway. In a way, I guess the sellers here can be grateful to him for being perhaps dumb enough to play his hand and reveal who his shill in the USA is.

Doesn't this transaction violate ebay rules in some way?  I know that bidding can be limited based upon feedback, but can a seller limit bidding to only one person?

OK.  Let him report this Ebay message to sonofayoda:

Beware of shipping items to the UK using shipping methods that cannot be traced.

Word to the wise

Pretty hard to make that into a personal slur on anyone.

Confine yourselves to purely factual statements.

Cougarrinard is clearly fustrated with people pointing out his reputation to large lot sellers.

He has loosed a lot of bluster about wanting copies of Ebay communications to "report to Ebay."

Make sure what you point out is totally accurate so he has no ammo with which to actually retaliate.

OK...I'm quoting myself...but make sure you keep your Ebay communications unimpeachable.

I did not mention the possibility that cougarrindard would set up a bogus auction just to try to lure out negative comments because I did not want to coach him on what to do.

You should expect it from a guy as angry as he clearly is.
