Can't do it - my VF copy of H4 is up on eBay now, 1 day to go.

Well the answer to this is simple: you don't send out your H4 but say you did (filing a NPB win they leave negative feedback), so that when you win you the bet you'll have two of them to sell.

Quote from Natalie's lengthy post above, (thought it necessary to blank the address of legal reasons.. 8)  )

I've been past this guys house (unknowingly for work) and the area is a sh*thole... I thought Portsmouth was bad generally, but its laughable that he was trying to claim (some time ago) that he owns several houses as a result of his sales on eBay. If he did, he needs real help to be still living in this place...  :?

Can't wait to see Nat fry his balls!

He might own several houses. An outhouse, a madhouse, a poorhouse.......

Good lord!

Is Portsmouth like the unluckiest place ever?

Destroyed by a French fleet ... rebuilt just in time for the Black Death ... attacked three more times by those lousy Frenchies ... bombed flat during World War II. The place has even been attacked by a zeppelin!  8O

And, now, of course, the poor, cursed area is under siege from an undead cougar. Will the madness never end?

Excellent posting, funny amusing and enlightening for our American cousins.

Now you all know what a shithole Portsmouth is, and that a "CHAV" is a UK version of yer basic American "Trailer Trash" type.

I guess if I ever get over to the U.K. I will have to make sure and stay out of the chav-infested parts of the country.  :D

In the meantime, anyone can sharpen their "chav-hunting" skills here:  http://www.maniacworld.com/Chav-Hunter-game.htm

It is rumored that cougarrinard is the boss on the last level of the game.

Man, British slang is the best. It makes our watered-down American version look pathetic and useless.

Speaking of which, here's one I've always wondered about: as a casual soccer fan, I often see Portsmouth referred to as "Pompey." For instance, "Pompey rarely crossed midfield in getting blanked by Chelsea, 7-nil."

Is that historical in some way? A play on words? Another piece of UK slang? This dumb American just doesn't get it.
