Tick is an expression used in the states as well.  "Checked one off the list" is more common.

Anyway, maybe we can come up with a list of members who are single so Natalie7421 doesn't have to keep asking?  Where's our chivalry?  We have a French maid seeking a suitable suitor.  The dragon has been negated and she now wants to be swept off her feet! :D   We need a happy ending here!

Speaking of language barrier, I have a question.  I've been watching the F Word - great show BTW, a shame it will probably never get aired in North America, but why is every dessert called a pudding?

Over here a pudding is a liquidy gel type substance.  You have Yorkshire pudding which is like a crusty bun, then on the F Word, things like chocolate browny or a mini cake with fruity middle layers are all called 'pudding'.  Is 'pudding' just another word for dessert over there?

These questions & more are answered in: Richards, Johnathan M. "The Ecology of the Black Pudding." Dragon #219 (TSR, 1995).

However I'd still like to find a good yellow matter custard in the States, they just don't have the same Mortiscanisoculariums over here.

Are Mortiscanisoculariums the English version of midi-chlorians?

"Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to us, telling us the will of the Force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you'll hear them speaking to you."                       ―Qui-Gon Jinn to Anakin Skywalker

I have some puddings in my life where I have had to use the force the get it down and then use the force again to get it out, if you know what I mean. :puker:

I think I had mortiscanisoculariums before. I used Preparation H and they went away.
