Looks cool but I think it's priced high. Note they don't mention the name of the trade magazine that it's from - I wonder if it could be found cheaper and intact.

I did a little more research on this item.



As far as I can tell from the text in the bottom left corner of the picture, the ad comes from the January 1978 issue of Playthings magazine. Playthings seems to be a toy industry trade magazine/catalog. Looking on Ebay, it looks like issues from the the 1960's sell for $50 on up, but issues in the mid 70's and 80's are $5 or less. So, this price for this ad is WAY overpriced. Looks like the seller is trying to take an $5 item and sell it in many pieces for insane profit. Except, they haven't got very many bidders - but probably enough to make it worth it to them.



Imagine if someone tried to take a module apart and sell the pages individually!

I have seen boxed sets sold that way (individual booklet, not pages :) ).  Some sellers might not know what they are selling. On the other hand, there might be a few sellers out there that are scamming and selling the item as "rare".  Case in point, L3 was only available in the Collector's Box Set yet you see people selling L3 by itself for over $30.

It looks like someone pulled it out of an old Dragon magazine. I think it was issue #105, but my old Dragons are boxed up so I can't confirm that.

I think Noble Knight has these for sell also. If you are willing to pay high prices. The ones that I have for sell may not be in mint, but they don't have any writing or coloring. If anyone is interested I have a Jade Hare up for sell also and we are getting ready to list some other items.

NSi actually stands for Natural Science Industries.  They make crystal kits and such, and latch onto currently-hot properties to stay afloat.  The D&D diorama is 20 years old, I think it was the only one.  Would be neat to see the back of the box, though, since the plural implies that there were others planned.
