My wife is probably going to give me some shit when she finds out about this as I told her I would curtail my Ebay spending until GenCon.  Oh well...just couldnt pass this up:

Is that price about right for a third printing?  With the exception of the one dinged corner the box looks to be in super condition. The second place bidder met my high bid of $45 but luckily didnt go any higher.  Hopefully the seller is being truthful about the contents and everything is there.  :D

I have been bidding on a lot of Tunnels and Trolls items of late and had trouble getting a box set of the rules.

I finally snagged one on the cheap ($5.00). The box is trashed (Bottom and top both torn on at least two corners).

The T&T rule book is in good condition with one loose page and more starting to loosen.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0246551442

The box sets contents are not complete but what is there is mostly ecellent to near mint.

1) Buffalo Castle (Solo Dungeon 1)

2) Castle Ward (Introductory Game Scenario)

3) FBI 1993-94 Catalog.

4) Rules book as described above

Missing the Dice and the Player Character Pack (10 player sheets)

And as an unadvertised bonus the following items were also inside that box.

1) Catacombs of the Bear Cult by Jin "Bear" Peters

2) Heroic Fantasy (Play by Mail Rules by FBI)

3) FBI Play by Mail Catalog (1993)

4) The Isle of Darksmoke (Gamemaster scenario by Blade (FBI division))

5) Caravan to Tiern (Solo 22 FBI)

6) City of Terrors (Solo 9 FBI)

Most of the items added can still be found at the FBI web site, but still a nice bonus package for the $5 investment.

From the same seller I also puchased a Night Below box Set that is complete.

The box is shelf-worn but the corners are still in one piece. The contents are complete and in nice condition.

The price was right for this one too at $6.50.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=015

Along with combined shipping I spent less than $20 total for all the above.

Not a steal, but a very good deal I think.

You held back the fun details until the end.   8)    Cool pickup!

I think we've been looking at the same items - I asked him about combined shipping on both of those and he put it on the Q&A section :P

Nice pickup on the Naked Doom last night....I didn't want to go above 15 for it

Thanks, but I didnt even know about any of the undescribed bonus items until I opened the package and then the T&T Box. Though when I lifted it I thought.... "Man this thing sure is heavy and seems stuffed". As soon as I opened it up I put on my happy face as I knew then that I had some extra goddies. :D

The entire lot of T&T are later prints, but it was nice to get so many extra goodies in a low priced auction.

Yep, I had some trouble getting him to combine the shipping into the invoice. He at first wanted me to pay $2.25 over what it would have cost to send each item seperately. We got it sorted out though.

I have been sort of looking mostly for T&T and JG items of late.
Most of the time I loose auctions, but for some things (Especially stuff that is not minty) it seems the big guys are either not interested, or perhaps they already have half a dozen minty copies of it.

The Naked Doom Solo was a decent buy at $15.50 I think.
As many of the early T&T Items are it is OOP and tuff to find.

Plus I had placed some bids on the T&T Buffalo Castle Solo earlier this month (The one that sold for $231.50..   8O   ..) and it was likely a first print.
So getting the one in this listing for free was real nice.
Its a fourth print, but still....... at zero cost......

From another seller, I recently was able to get three other middle/early issue T&T Solo's at about $3.11 (Average) each and a SW set of Character Sheets too. They are probably later prints of those Solo's. (Still have'nt gotten them)

I also snagged a copy of the Death Trap Equalizer (Fourth Print) for $15.50 a few days ago and right now there is a first print that is at $119 plus.....  :(   and still going.

Perhaps some day I will try harder for first prints but for now any print run will do it.

Just received a Gencon XIII booklet in the mail. Just reading through it is taking a walk in gaming history. One of the coolist items I've picked up in awhile.

Well, golly. If the little ol' serleran had known....

I just traded away a lot of T&T stuff I had no use for, including 2 copies of each of the first 6 Solos (not 1st prints, of course - I'm not always an idiot.) Oh well. I'd have been much happier doing so with an Acaeum member.

Anyway, to stay on track and on topic ---

I found, almost literally, an almost near mint (it had a very light ding on the upper spine and right corner) Rules Cyclopedia. The person who had it did not know what it was, thinking it was for 3.5 D&D and asked if I wanted it - I said "sure, if you don't." Now, I don't have to find another one.

Lovely book - how much are they running to these days?

You're all corrupting me:   bad, evil people.;)

I was supposed to selling, not buying.  I haven't seen one in a long time, but I did pick this up, and I think the price is good, please tell me if I'm off the mark.

Looks like they are finishing at between $30 and $40 on average.

So...

I was showing a friend the pictures of ExTSR's game stash...which are posted over on another thread...when my wife calls from Value Village thrift store.

She says, "There are some hardbacks here...one of them is called De-i-ties and Dem-i-gods?

"How many pages?" I ask.

"Hmmm....129."

"Dang!"

"Wait," she says, "Here's another one...hmmm...looking at the last page....144."

"Whoohoo!"

"Wait," she says, "We got modules and magazines here.  Is Dungeon good?"

There was just enough time for me to drive over there and snap up modules and magazines at 49 cents each as well as 1st Edition hardbacks at $2.99.  (I took the good ones...leaving the ones too far gone for the next scavenger.)

I got some Dungeon magazines modules, hardbacks...all.

And my wife is hot too!  8O  (Not sure if I mentioned that earlier.)
