Watch out, Steven - it's a slippery slope. I have an interest in old skirmish rules as well, and have been collecting them to go along with my D&D stuff. There is surprisingly large amounts of it out there - some good, some not so good.
When I started to collect them, I had the idea I would try to get a set of rules to cover every period and type of warfare - so that if there was ever a situation where some one said, "you know, I wish there were rules covering the xxxx conflict", I could pull a set out.
