I grew up two blocks from Widener college. The fact that I was only 7 in 1982 does not lessen the rage any....to think I could have gamed with GG down the street from my childhood home...

GenCon East 1 was in a hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ about 10 minutes from our home in Merchantville.  I don't think I attended that con, for some reason.  *sigh*

I remember going to that one. I think I slept about 3hours the entire weekend.

Nice find...

... that's not just an autograph you know...   :D

A pleasant surprise arrived in the mail today.  Picked up an older DMG (wizard logo, yellow-orange flyleaves and endpapers) on the "bay".  Turns out, it's a second beta print.  I've never had this copy before and you can clearly see where the new endpapers are pasted over the old endpapers.  The back cover is a tad detached at the bottom and you can see the staples also.  The covers are a bit "textured" like the first print which is interesting.

The power of eBay is that it gives Xmas morning from time to time. It is good thing because the rest of it pretty much sucks.

And a belated welcome back, old timer!

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Yes you could say I was within a hare's breath of getting that one.

But not to outdone, I did manage to get to this one first:

Well, it was missing the dice, so I guess I *could* complain a bit... but I won't :)

This is actually not that unusual, I got a Jade Hair in that boxset as well once and I know a few others have said the same.  TSR must have had a few extras lying around LOL
