yes, Zero Thinckness Walls, the maps are NOT single pegers either, they join at one side to the next one.

I am in contact with the seller, asking questions.
So far he responded once.
He is an older man who has not played D&D in 25 years...
Says he is happy to answer my questions.
I just sent a long e-mail this morning.... Loaded with them.

The Goldenrod Sheets I have are:
8-1/2" x 11" in size
Three sheets total
Double Sided
Were once stapleed
Were meant to be folded in half
In very nice condition

Another member here asked me about them specifically...
And sent me a link to a scan of one sheet..
One of the sheets I have is the same as that scan.
He also sent a link to a thread discussing the sheets, which I saved for reading later, but I have not been able to thus far.
I will post a (non-revealing) picture of them in a short while.

This selling crap on E-Bay can be a full time job.... and it aint fun at all.
Not that I did not respect them before, but I gain more respect for guys Like Badmike and other large scale sellers everytine I attempt to sell something and mess it all up. 8)

Ooh.
Gonna be some green eyes on the forum today.
Nice find there.

Not bad actually.
The wilderness terrain map looks neat.
And perhaps the DM notes match the dungeon mapping.
I will need more time to study it all in depth though.

You don't get to see much in the auction photos, so it's good to find a whole folder full of stuff like that.
Any chance of a few photos?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

One Wilderness Map on Hex Paper (small hexes).
Eight Graph paper sheets filled with Dungeon Room, Halls, etc.
Some rooms are sort of described on the maps with one or two word notes, most are not.

I am still not finished going through everything.
But did find about a dozen PC Sheets filled in with long term PCs.
Most are mid level.

Gnat the Beggar wrote:Some of you may have noticed that I listed a few rare items over the past few days.

HERE IS WHY!

A large lot (To me anyway...) I purchased a week or so back.
Spent ALL of my gathered up NTPRGCON Funds to buy it too... and then some...  8O
Now I must find a way to replace that fund ...

Here is the Listing...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

The Package was sitting on the porch when I got home today.
As I walked up the walk to my house, I could already see that the box had ripped open (Completely) with a tear along one entire side and my heart missed a few beats...  8O
I could see everything in the box without even picking the box up!   8O
Got the box inside and opened it up the rest of the way, knowing I had probably lost a bunch of stuff.

Here is what I found:

TSR AD&D Core Rule Books...
ALL are First Prints:
Players Handbook (Orange Flyleaf's, so its a 1st Beta print I guess) Very Fine
Dungeon Master Guide (D runs off the cover)  Very Fine
Monster Manual  Very Fine to Near Mint (This book crinkled when I opened It up!)
(OH MY GOODNESS!)

2nd Print of Deities and Demigods - Very Fine (144 pages, with Thanks on page 4)

OD&D White Box Set 5th print
Box Poor to Fair, Crushed with some tears... OK POOR
Men-VG
Monsters-Good (cover is separated)
Underworld-VF
(There are some White Reference Sheets present, but I think not complete)

Orange colored digest sized sheets (they look like the Reference Sheets for the OD&D Box Sets)

OD&D Supplements:
4th Print Greyhawk - Fair to Good (Cover loose, otherwise nice)
2nd Print Blackmoor -- Very Fine to NM
1st Print Eldritch Wizardry -- Fine (Slight fraying along the spine but NOT loose, some writing on the notes pages at back in pencil)

Strategic Review Vol. 1, No. 1 -- Near Mint

Blank Hex Sheets Pad (Red Glue Strip still on the top)
Small Hex; Top tearing with 8 unused white sheets remaining, no backboard
Plus one more sheet that has a detailed wilderness map drawn in colored pencil.

Two Blue PC Records Sheets (used, pencil only)
Copyright 1977-TSR Hobbies, Inc.

17 Dice- All are the Old type of dice, most in great condition others rounded corners, for which I have no clue as to values.

Monster & Treasure Assortment Sets:
All have Lizard Logos and all are Very Fine to Near Mint.
Set One: 1st Print  (Outdoor Geomorphs listed as Future Products)
Set Two: 1st Print (Hobbits at encounter 43)
Set Three 2nd Print (Set Three in Products List)

Judges Guild Stuff:
FIRST PRINT (White) Initial Guidelines Booklet I - VF (Hole punched)
Guide to the City State Book VF
Full set of Four Piece CSIO Maps VF-NM
Campaign Map One Set  NM
I think this might be part of the initial package sent to folks who signed up at the 76 GENCON!

I had bid on and lost a few auctions for the CSIO Book over the years, never quite able to snag a copy.
And I had never even seen a copy of the White Initial Guidelines Booklet I… at least not in person.. … SWEET!

Two three hole binders.
One is plain with nothing but home made maps on grid paper.
The other binder has a seal of University of Northern Iowa on the front.
Mostly filled with Home made stuff…
Xerox Sheets (Most of them from Dragon Magazines), Home brew PC Sheets (They look homebrew anyway), Filled out PC Sheets, Game Notes by the DM, etc.

I WILL be forced to sell a lot more things to make up for this purchase, But I am VERY GLAD I robbed the fund for this lot of items.

You may already be aware of this, but....

Scroll just a short distance down the page on this website of old D&D maps.

You'll se the module you bought on the left-hand side of the page:

Are you referring to the album of stuff by David McLouth?

Seller responded and we had a couple of E-Mail chats.

The Home Brew Maps do not have a key to the rooms and seller is the Map Maker.
Apparently he and his group never got around to locking anything down for them; using them on more than one occasion, placing things and critters on regular paper only when needed.
None of that survives and what I got was absolutely all he had.
He is quite sure of that.

His group had never gone to GenCon... any of them.
He ordered the Judges Guild stuff through the mail, but has no clue where the rest of the CSIO kit is now.
Most of the Xerox sheets in the larger binder came from original items that a different guy from his old gaming group had.
Meaning Dragon Mags and other RPG periodicals and materials.
Turns out that guy was (most times) the DM for the group. (Called DM guy henceforth)
I still hold out some hope I might be able to get in contact with DM guy as Seller does see him occasionally.
DM guy still loves gaming, but mostly other things than RPGs (Wargames probably).
Maybe DM guy also kept all that old D&D and Judges Guild stuff? :!:

Sellers brother was one of the gamers too.
I asked seller to ask his brother and DM guy if they have any old gaming stuff to get shed of.

Seller does not know anything about the Goldenrod Sheets except that he knows who has them now...

Yes.  They appear to be the same items.  Don't they?

But, after a thought......

AH...wait....I see that I have been too hasty.  I was going on memory at that moment.    They are not the same items.  Dang!

For stuff that "I don't actively collect", I sure seem to acquire a lot of it.  Wasn't someone saying these are worth something?

At least I have the two different 3.5 prints and 1 in shrink.

Lets see the other side of those empty slip cases...

If they were all full, I am thinking that table would collapse under the weight.

I personally think he filled all the empty boxes with bricks and stacked them under the table to prop it up!

Great win, John!  Some beautiful items in that lot.  I will definitely be bidding on the hardcovers.

Now if only I could find a nice copy of Nanorien Stones in shrink I would be a happy camper. ;)

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

Thanks smarmy...

In case you dont know, I tend to grade my items harshly.
I do that in the hopes that winning bidders can manage a smile rather than a frown when they open the box, or envelope...
Some here (I think) can attest to that.

Funny you should mention the Nanorien Stones....
I received a copy of Nanorien Stones in shrink in the mail today!
Give me a call (or PM) anytime....
Just dont wait too long.
I have never seen one and I am very eager to read it, but this darned shrink wrap is in the way...

I can attest to that! Received from Gnat some very nice items recently. Thanks!

My thanks to all who stayed away...  :D

Same seller had a copy of Beastmaker Mountain with no folder that sold for $44...

Fez I and Fez II for less than $17 total.

INCLUDING shipping costs.

Does not matter that Fez I is missing the folder.... at that price I think it was still a great deal.

Fez I at $67 BIN

Congrats! I'm not much into Role Aids (except I love the name), other than being familiar with "Elves" and a few other of the very common items. From what little I know, though, at ten bucks that seems like a great deal.
