We moved to Spokane last year and it was lost in a sea of boxes (think of the warehouse in Indiana Jones movies). Just found it again about 3 weeks ago. So if it is going to make GenCon, I need to know if IO will be there or do I need to send it to someone else?"

I look forward to meeting you at GenCon   :D

I must admit whilst I read every new thread posted, I don't read every thread completely as it may involve things I don't know about, can't contribute to or can't attend, but I thought I'd read the last page of this one...  :?
Ok, now I've just spent the last xx amount of time reading through this whole thread and the previous threads about this book and it sounds a great thing going on..

Sounds like a great little bit of history with the Acaeum tied in nicely!

I shall keep an eye on this thread from now on...  8)

FINALLY!!!

After 2 years of moving and battling creditors and paying down debt we finally got our house that we wanted.

Since June of this year I have been clearing out the storage unit and unpacking everything. Finally got the last few boxes out of storage so I am officially moved in.

It was like Christmas opening all the boxes of stuff for my office shelves as some of this stuff i have not seen in nearly 2 years!

Yesterday I started unpacking all of my D&D items and came across the Perelman PHB!

So it is time to get the journey started again and I was thinking of getting it into the hands of someone who would be at GenCon and the Acaeum dinner this year.

Any takers?

Ooh. I bet there'll be a queue for that one.
Was this being signed as it went around?
I'll need to check, but I was hosting the scans on my Acaeum webspace at one point.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Cool!  Forgotten all about that thing.
I actually signed it a couple of years ago.

A friend of mine will be at GenCon.
He'd love to see it.
Where will you be?

I'm not trying to pry into anything private)

I wonder if the guy's still around and what he'd think of all this.

I will be sending the book to IO who will be attending GenCon so for those who want to see it he will be the man to find.

I will be including the draft of JP's thoughts from here:  JIM PERELMAN SPEAKS!  A message from Jim!

A scan and post that shows the signatures in the Perelman Player's Handbook would be cool to see.

Whoever has it after GenCon 2010 would score major karma points by getting this done!  Please!  :thumleft:

They used to be at the beginning of the other thread.  Not sure why they aren't there but as I recall the language was quite robust so maybe not appropriate for the site?

thread was this one...

The curious case of the three-page rant in the old PHB

I'm talking about specifically the signatures.

I have files...somewhere...giving me pictures of the Perelman handbook.

What I want to see is who signed it after me and what they had to say.

Kosh has a legitimate piece of gaming history in his possession.

Sooooooooo........ I hope this time.......

I need to get this to GenCon2013 and have made it a total commitment to get it there.

Therefore I need to know who is heading up the Acaeum group that will be there so that I can get it to them for signing/ perusing.

It is packaged and ready to go, just need a name and address to slap on it.

Also, I think this would make a good community item and was wondering who would be a good keeper of it?

Suggestions? The Burnt Brothers come to mind.

Kosh, PM me.

The North Texas RPG con could keep and display this in our nifty display case, so gamers from all over could see and read this "artifact" when they attend the con.  It would be as safe as any other expensive goody we display for the masses.

I do have a special connection to the book...I was the one who brought it to Gencon 2008, and that's the book in my avatar photo....
