This is the single best thread I've ever read on any forum, anywhere.

From the few excerpts reproduced here, I've nearly fell off my chair three times with laughter.

You all should be congratulated for what you're doing, and one day I hope to see the scan.

Imagination, passion, and humour:  what else does one need?

I do hope this ends up somewhere proper, and I hope hope he can see it one more time.

Maybe the JP-PHB should be listed in the rare's section, citing his other books as MIA, and perhaps a scan of his rant to help in the search?

Paul

Curious to see how much it'll be worth at auction once it's done ot's tour. What started life as a ratty only PHB could now fetch a lot of money.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Who says that I'm selling it?  8)

At the rate this is going it will become community property, everyone will be taking care of it.

When it gets to GenCon I think that those Acaeum members at the Con should take a group pic with it and insert it into the book as an added feature for the books future travels.

I know that FormCritic wants to see it here in WA, afterwards I would like to get it back to look it over, add a few things to it and then get it on its way to the UK.

Kosh,

I think we can do the photo thing when it gets to Gencon.  Great idea.

yeah i think thats cool. and what we should do is get someone to take a digital print of it and put it with the book as well. will be a nice keepsake to go with it on its travels.

its going to be one awesome piece of role-playing history come the time its done with its travels.

I've already seen and signed the Perelman Player's Handbook.

It's actually a first print in pretty good condition...at least I'm pretty sure it's first print.

The rants have now added to its value.

value is irrelevant - its a great piece of history.

when kosh gets it back, he would be a melanomahead if he sold it.

I dont recall if it is a first print, but I am certain that It is not a TRUE first print as it has the orange flyleafs.

Don't forget to bring it to Gencon Oz for pickup (if someone else has it after you Brette).

We'll have to all catch up there. Any ideas?

**Bump**

Unfortunately didn't see anyone from here at Gencon (that I recognized anyway). :(

Should we start to organize something so I can bring the PHB to Indy?

Will the book be making its way to GENCON this year?
