On its way to Blackmoor now.  Sorry it took me so long, guys, but I didn't get around to sending it off before heading north.

Hey!  Where is the Perelman PHB now?

Once we have passed it around to be signed, we need to track down and interview Jim Perelman!

Thought Blackmoor would have it by now.  Maybe it got slowed down by the US holiday...

You know, after reading all of this thread its finally dawned on me why I never was interested in reading the guy's editorial: if I wanted a bunch of immature ranting about D&D, I'd go through the USENET archives :P

Tongue-in-cheek comments aside, it's actually quite an interesting read.   :D

You are right about usenet, and many other web chat sites and forums fit into the same sort of immature ranting mode as well.

Although many of Perlemans comments seem like the rantings of a immature and possibly lunatic mind, some of the boys specific rules comments actually seem well thought out. Some of his written comments/revisions/changes to the spells and some other rules listed in the original players hand book could improve the game if carefully and thoughtfully inserted into a well structured campaign.

Please visit the site where the scans of the book are stored and read some the revised spells. The URL hosted by Foul and created by mbassoc2003

What did you think of the Perelman PHB, Blackmoor?

And, what quote did you pick out as your favorite?
