There are at least 2 printing of the GG black box set.  BTW, my sample size is also 2.

I have to admit, I've never understood the level of interest in this system.  Maybe because it came out after my peak.

Ditto to that - although I do like the idea that you can game at higher levels* - in long running campaigns we managed fine (keep the magic items in check, ramp up the campaign-politics, more intelligent (often human) foes, different rewards etc..) - although mostly homebrew and adaptations of published scenarios at that level rather than off the shelf.

The difference is that the errata has been corrected in the books in the second print.  I have what I currently call a first print that includes 3 double sided sheets of errata for the books.  I assume that a set similar to mine but without the errata was originally sold and then the errors came flooding in and the sheets were produced and sold with the rest of the print run.

The GG black box copy that sold a little while back had the errata fixed inside the books.

Its relatively rare, particularly in that condition.  When these come up for auction they're usually missing the space ship counters.

That final sale price was a steal... 8O

Not because of the games themselves, but because they are still in the shrink. You could resell just a few of them and make your money back.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!
