Softback MM in the Uk - but minimum£50 with that reserve

(I'll let you have my one for half that!)

Oh yes,  1st print MM's in Fine conition or better typically get near the $100 mark(unless they get missed) or more, whereas 2nd prints even in great shape don't typically get more than $25 or $30.

Thanks BC,

If that is the case, why is the aforementioned MM in the UK, which appears to a 2nd print, setting such a high reserve price? Just because it is a softcover

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

Thats what I like to refer to as the lottery. The seller is trying to get lucky by praying of someone's ignorance.

Here is another interesting lot that contains an AD&D Coloring Book  (un-colored) and in its original plastic:

eBay listings

This guy has some semi-rare non-TSR stuff, and the G1/2/3 in the 13 book lot are almost definitely Aussies, judging by the price. The D series might be as well.

You can't really determine the printing of a UK MM by a cover scan; they all appear identical.  The starting price in that auction seems unreasonable.  However, 1st/2nd UK printings are much less common than 3rds.  I'd argue they're slightly less common than their US counterparts, as well.

Well no, but the fact that the counters are punched makes up for the box being tortured.

What, doesn't everybody count punched counters as an added bonus to the condition? Just think, if you could get some black and red marker writing all over it, it would be Mint.

You know what they say about sarcasm Brian?

Mind you - uncut counters make them much easier to photocopy (nod toward the kitty  )

Are Troll and Toad normally this bad at describing auctions?
