The reserve must be pretty stiff.  :?

I can't imagine it going for less than $200.

I was about to make a bid when I saw that big ugly signature.  Man do I hate signatures on the covers of books.  Has nothing to do with authenticity.  It just looks ugly.

Funny, Gus, I had the same reaction.  I think mine is inscribed on the inside.

Well, I am just looking for one, its a hole. :)   The sad part is my bid is over $125 and I still haven't even met the reserve price yet. :?

This seller has a bunch of modules in shrinkwrap.  Each with an old price tag from Kaybee Toys reading $1.00 (marked down from $5.95).  *sigh*

Does the fact it is a GW module make it more collectible, rare, etc. :?:  :?:

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

Here is an interesting collection of items:

** expired eBay auction **

Book of Artifacts by The Dragon Tree and then waaay down at the bottom is a 1E Monster Manual with the Lizard-Man logo 8)

BTW, what's the story on these MM? Is a second print as good as a first?

Thanks,

Yes.  Probably not as rare/collectible/valuable as a 1st US printing, but more than a 2nd US, in my opinion.  The GW Drow series seems to be even more elusive...or perhaps I'm just unlucky.

Thanks Deimos,

What do you about these 1st &/or 2nd printings of the MM? Is there a big difference (more than 20%) in the value of a 1st versus a 2nd print :?

Thanks in Advance,

Oh yes,  1st print MM's in Fine conition or better typically get near the $100 mark(unless they get missed) or more, whereas 2nd prints even in great shape don't typically get more than $25 or $30.
