And this item is quite likely to be a fake just like the Game Lords stuff that he used to sell.  Do a check on dandplayer as seller here for details.

I thought he was familiar.  It also explains the line in his auction "I have many different copies of the same books".

Yep thats him.  Here is the primary thread about him:

Although, I think that we also spoke in depth about him as well in the "Shady Dealers Thread"

Are there any signs that one can use to detect a fake? If I pick it up I'd like to check it out. Thanks.

Yep, that was my auction of the complete run of Little Wars.  I was surprised too but it was a great win for tfm.

Little Wars is one of those items that will either sell big or not at all. I have several extras that I picked up while completing a set, and when I tried to offload them a few months ago (at $2 each) none of them received any bids at all.

The only issues that can be a little difficult to find are #12 which is significantly rarer than the others, and #7 with the Tom Wham game still attached.

Mike

Yes, that is the seller who sells fakes, so don't be surprised if Ian ends up pissed off.

Thanks Mike.... as do I.

I decided I'd been here long enough that I needed an avatar. I had that photo on the PC so threw it up, but I might dig out some old Dragon mags and pick out a better image (that one is a bit dark and probably has too much detail).
