Thanks - that's about my ceiling for that kind of item.  I'll keep a watch on it and see how light my wallet is feeling next Saturday... :)

Just spotted this:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

The PHB in this small lot is a Games Workshop softcover version.  According to the description, it's in pretty lousy condition, but I figured that someone might find it interesting nevertheless...

That seems about right to me too.  Although around Christmas there were two that sold for under $100.  I have also seen a few that have hit higher than $250 as well.  Its one of those items that has good potential to sell well.

$238.05???  8O   I sold one last month that went for $102. :?

Hey BC,

I have several on my watch list, pending & sold, and you are right about the variation in prices. The best deal was one sold by SuperClarkie, no relation . . . right? , that sold for $76.00 with a copy of Tegel Manor. I should have gone for it, but I was a little concerned about how much I had already spent, or so my wife told me   Here is the link:

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

Erm, interesting... *stands well clear*

And <empoweredguy> is taking a beating on that.

Crazy, crazy, IMO... :)

(c/w the SW'd UK S1 mono - the only one I've ever seen in that condition sold separately - which went for about a third of that, and not to one of the SW fans either).

Hey, I have not bid yet . . . maybe we can break the $200 mark on this one and set a record

I would only consider (I said consider  ) spending that kind of money on a Near Mint EoPT or some module like the R-Series, if that's what they go for (shrugging shoulders).

Crazy IMO too.  Extremely Happy, but crazy none the less.  The thing that is really amazing is the amount of hits that auction has currently being > than 1600. 8O   That is by far the most hits that I have ever had on an auction, I think my second place winner would ~250, Just increadible. :D

Any theories on that, Brian?

(Hmm.... 60 times what I would've paid on a minty SW'd R3, btw (needed to correct that seller's personal evaluations somewhat! :o)).

Not a clue.   I can say that if I did know what it was I'd keep doing it though.

It seems T&T can't get the pic to match the auction:

Phil was pissed at me on that one; I stepped in and rewrote part of it, punched it up a bit. He said it made it too tough. (I said "Too? Tough.") Think I'm credited as Developer...
