I'm guessing it'll go for less than the BIN.  Tempting, though.   :D

Now you're taking me on trust, Brian. :D

The brown-black printing offset on the front cover and cut to the margin of the black trim marker on the back cover are the distinguishing marks, btw... I'd better go find a 3rd print to ensure that doesn't revert but outwith that the only "problem" should be the possibility of a "1st" cover on a "2nd" textblock.

Scans required to demonstrate?

Well, I can't think of a better person to trust when it comes to this kind of stuff.  I am certainly hoping that you are right. :)

Brendon should be able to confirm on that, too. Thought he had a pretty good run of the various printings. ;)

1st print Blackmoors without rust on the staples are pretty scarce, btw. Think they pulled a dud batch for that one when they were trying to get them out for Christmas (ignore what it says 'bout September on the cover page).

Will send you over a copy if I'm not... ^^

Just spotted that the other day - hoping to snag it if the price doesn't get too high.  What's a decent price for one of those?  I'm willing to bid a fair bit, but not crazy money... :D

The prices on these sets seem to vary greatly for some reason. :?   I have seen good sets go for as low as $100 and as high as $250, but usually you can expect them in the territory of $145-$165, assuming that the condition is good.

Thanks - that's about my ceiling for that kind of item.  I'll keep a watch on it and see how light my wallet is feeling next Saturday... :)

Just spotted this:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

The PHB in this small lot is a Games Workshop softcover version.  According to the description, it's in pretty lousy condition, but I figured that someone might find it interesting nevertheless...

That seems about right to me too.  Although around Christmas there were two that sold for under $100.  I have also seen a few that have hit higher than $250 as well.  Its one of those items that has good potential to sell well.

Hey BC,

I have several on my watch list, pending & sold, and you are right about the variation in prices. The best deal was one sold by SuperClarkie, no relation . . . right? , that sold for $76.00 with a copy of Tegel Manor. I should have gone for it, but I was a little concerned about how much I had already spent, or so my wife told me   Here is the link:

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.
