Either that is the second go around, or he has duplicate sets. I know I spotted the same a week or more ago. It could have been a different tournament, but it was definately the same seller.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Same seller, same tourney.  I bought the first two rounds and was thinking about buying the others until he reposted the same ones that he sold to me.  I emailed him asking him if they were legit and not pdfs or photocopies and he claimed that they were real.  It will be interesting to see when the arrive. :?

BTW, that is the 3rd set of opening rounds that he is selling and the 2nd set of the later rounds.

It's entirely possible that they're legit copies---to run the Open, there are hundreds of copies of the adventures in circulation at GenCon.  Do please let us know, Brian, if they're good or bad, once your copies do arrive.

I gather the Australian G1, G2, G3 Monos are very rare. A set of three of them just went AU$482.50 and the G3 has pen marks on the cover. Check it out:

Wowm thats the first one I have ever seen!  8O  This should be really, really interesting to see where it ends up.  The one thing that kind of irritates me though is this line in the auction description:

Several resources on the internet have valued this book at anywhere from 100 to 500 dollars depending on its condition, and I will gladly send more pictures to anyone intersted in making a solid determination on this.

Several sources?     Besides this site what other resource on the net is there for pricing on 1st edition AD&D stuff???  Whatever.............

As a matter of fact I just sent this question

bclarkie wrote:Dear Seller, I am quite interested in this auction, but I do have a question.  You indicate that this item is valued from several different sources on the net as being a value of anywhere from $100 to $500, can you please point me to the several indivdual sites that indicate that potential value to this item?  Much obliged.

I am very curious to see the response.

He's just pimping up his own auction....I heartily doubt there are any "sources".  But having said that, I won't be surprised if his final auction totals reach those levels...when is the last time anyone has seen one of these on Ebay???

This auction is in hopes of finding a valid collector looking to possess this very rare find.

Reading between the lines he might actually mean -  'I want to make as much $£ as I possibly can'  -  Of course if he ends up giving this away to a keen collector I'll apologise profusely!

Halls is part of a whole series of mods. I am too tired to emember much, but ther is also Feathered Priests, and a few others. If I remember (which I probably won't), I'll check mine when I get home and list them all.

The publisher is Integrated Games 1984 which is really Beast Entz and Endless Plans and I think one other company.  They produced 4 boxed sets and a 5th was planned but never completed (check out the Stump the Forum thread if you want a picture of the manuscript cover).

The other boxed sets are Lost Shrine of Kasar Khan, Watchers of the Sacred Flame and The Feathered Priests.

This auction is for a first print of Halls of the Dwarven Kings.  The second print has the illustrations and character in a booklet format.  I still need a first print of this too :)

There's a copy of The Feathered Priests on Ebay at the moment.  Unfortunately I don't have the link handy, but I seem to recall it was from the UK.
