Okay, I see what you guys mean.  I was looking at it from a collecting standpoint, and couldn't understand what the fuss was all about.  Looking at it from the re-seller perspective, it DOES look like a pretty decent deal.

If I lived in the US, I'd surely buy the entire lot.

Yep.  Julia's a great reseller.  I don't recall their Acaeum name offhand.

Shrinkwrapped OCE (kinda  :? ).  Autograped by Gygax.

Not sure I would have had Gary sign it quite the way he did though.  I would think this would surely devalue the set, but someone will probably see it differently.

Quick question:  I've seen these "miniature" versions of some of the hardback books up on eBay; any thought of having a section on all of those that were printed?
(For that matter, how many--or which--books were printed in miniaturized versions, and anyone know why it was done?)

Answers:

1) No (at least not by me).  Even though the content is "first edition", they werent published or distributed by TSR.  And if I am not mistaken all of the items listed on the site, excluding subwebs, are either published or distributed by TSR.

2) No clue.

3) Because people will buy anything?     I actually wanted a set of these when they came out back in the late 90's.  When I found out that the rulebooks were $10 a pop I told my shop owner "no thanks".  I did "accidentally" buy the two Dragonlance sets.  I thought they were reprints of the full size modules.  When I got them home and pulled off the shrinkwrap I was a bit pissed since I don't remember reading anywhere on the boxes that they were miniature editions.

Daystar West Pharoah and Rahasia, MDG Mods, Players Association News & Broadsheet. And weren't the 1E mini reprints published by 21st Century Games under license as part of the Silver Aniversary package?
The only reason I can see not to list them is purely by publication date. Isn't there a 1996 or 93 cut off date?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Actually, the FAQ states:
"We've chosen to concentrate on 1st Edition (pre-1990) material for a number of reasons."

http://www.acaeum.com/frontdesk/faq.html#3

But there are exceptions to this, such as the Silver Anniversary package and the 1997-1999 RPGA modules:

Sleepy, try these threads:

viewtopic.php?t=3502

The books were printed on license to an Italian company, who presumably saw profit to be made in such novelty items. They do seem fairly popular :D

It would be nice to have a page with the 1E mini prints included. I'm sure there's lot of stuff Foul would like to add; it's probably just a matter of time/priority.

Note the White box is Only the box, no books.

Yeah, I saw that, and the "Wild Things" is 3-hole punched.  Maybe I should expand on my original comment.  Not a bad lot, but not too good either. ;)

Not sure I like the statement "D&D - Huge Lot - Nearly 100 Pieces" when most of the pieces are the remnants of box sets...

Does this necessarily increase the value of it, in the general market? Looks like an ugly blemish to me.
