Thanks for pointing that out Gro . . . I used to play that all the time when I was a kid.  I've been wanting to see how my "spotty" memories of the game compare to the actual thing.

I thought it was really good . . . but, then again, I was only 11 years old.  That's why I've been wanting to get one.  It would be a bit of nostalia anyway.

That reminds me . . . I still need to get a copy of Viking Gods . . .

Is it any good??????????? Is it any good????????????

How can you go wrong battling the Duke and gangs in the street.

This is a great beer and pretzel game and it plays relatively short (1 hour or so). Best with four or so players.

I have a "travel" copy we take to Gen Con and it is the last game we play on Sunday before coming home. Tradition and all that.

Can't miss. With all those availabe at one time, you can probably get one at a good price.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Howdy All,

Note the verticle woodgrain - that's the third 2nd print from 1975 that I have seen with a verticle woodgrain. That's why I think the labeless woodgrains are leftover tractics boxes from 1975.

And wow, shiny new thread!

Greets all, been lurking here for a while...   long time player, long time collector, just starting to sell off some of my collection. (figured i'd introduce myself instead of starting to rant ;)

Hrm...  Well, the book in the pic was in excellent condition...  because I took the pic because I sold the book in that pic...  also the description is ripped directly from my auction as well...

(Ended up using the webcam set up, putting the books on the rubbermaid container while my 14 month old slept so he wouldn't be toddling around trying to rip apart the books I was taking pictures of.  (as could be seen by the other books I sold around that time as well, other megamods and such) ;)

I guess good luck to whomever won that auction to maybe get a book in a similar condition :)

Either that is the second go around, or he has duplicate sets. I know I spotted the same a week or more ago. It could have been a different tournament, but it was definately the same seller.

Same seller, same tourney.  I bought the first two rounds and was thinking about buying the others until he reposted the same ones that he sold to me.  I emailed him asking him if they were legit and not pdfs or photocopies and he claimed that they were real.  It will be interesting to see when the arrive. :?

BTW, that is the 3rd set of opening rounds that he is selling and the 2nd set of the later rounds.

It's entirely possible that they're legit copies---to run the Open, there are hundreds of copies of the adventures in circulation at GenCon.  Do please let us know, Brian, if they're good or bad, once your copies do arrive.
