Official AD&D Origins '79 Tournament RPG Lost Tamoachan

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... otohosting

Number 86 .....

The scans on the Acaeum are blue, but the picture in the auction looks white.  Is this the real thing or a photocopy :?:   Already at $350 with 6 days to go. Where will it finish if it is genuine?

The seller has sold quite a few tournament modules in the last few years...mostly Fazzlewoods and Tsojconths, I believe.  I do find it rather bizarre that the seller doesn't provide better scans.  Those that have won previous auctions reported the items as original.  Wild guess: $1600.

I've purchased a couple of slightly less valuable items from him months apart (err.. cheapass Werewolf the Apocalypse books if you want to get nosy) and had a few condition issues with both orders compared to description.  Don't believe him to be shady per-se, most likely just a case of underdescribing.  Just thought I'd toss in my 2 cents.  Very nice seller and quick shipping though.

This is the first time one-eyed wonder worm has sold a Tamo.
In the past, he's sold several of EACH of Fazzle and Tsoj. One wonders where he got so many tourney mods.

This is not the same seller as the one hwo sells Fazzles' and the Tsojconths.  The seller who normally sells those is lumberjaques and he is located in Michigan.  This guy selling the Tamo is one-eyed-jaques and he is located in Virginia.  Two totally seperate entities. :)

I guess I don't know my jaques.  (To be fair, I spent most of high school hiding from them in the library playing D&D.)

I used to visit one-eyed-jacques when I lived in Virginia.  It was located on West Cary Street in Richmond.  The owner had a huge collection of just about anything you could imagine.  It was a neat little shop, always getting in rare and hard to find collectibles at a time when eBay didn't exist.

I recall he had a fire at one time and a portion of the older stock that he had stored in the back was damaged/destroyed.  I bought a few older items from him at that time.  He had eluded to the fact that he a bunch of rare items that he would think about selling at a later date.  Never had the opportunity to get back to him since I left Virginia shortly thereafter.

I've purchased numerous items from both and haven't had any problems yet from either.

Tidy basic set - is this a UK print (slightly deeper box)?

The castle on the cover reminds me of Jabba's palace...

Hmm, no, I don't have a gambling problem, I'm winning, and winning is not a problem. That's like saying Michael Jordan has a basketball problem, or Def Leppard has an awesomeness problem. So why don't y'all pour some sugar on that?

A 144 pg Cthulu Dieties and Demigods:

http://cgi.ebay.com/AD-D-Deities-Demigo ... dZViewItem

for only $5.99 ($0.99 for book, $5 for S&H). Seller has negative feedback, but looks like most of it is from a hard-drive crash (or so he says). Anyone have any dealings with this guy, good or bad?

I bought minis from him once or twice.   IIRC, everything arrived safe and sound.

I think he has a non-eBay Internet store for minis and RPGs, but you'd have to e-mail him about that.

[edit: I have losing bids on four of his current auctions.  Maybe he's doing more RPGs nowadays.]
