Anyone know what's going on with this auction?

It was sold at the beginning of the month and positive feedback was even exchanged.

It says in the auction details that the box was from a new case.  It looks like has has a bunch of them to sell.

Revolt on Anteres, Remember the Alamo, and Viking Gods.  About $17 with 18 hours to go.  Unfortunate the games are punched and come without their plastic cases.

I am thrown off by the line in the auction "This particular set has been in my family since it was new.".  They just happened to buy their family a case of them?  I'm not sure if they are trying to pull something or just be slick trying to give that "we are a wholesome family" impression.

The first is a first print Basic Set with a geomorphs and M&T assortment (both first prints), so I don't think it is too far off.

The OCE price is completely ridiculous  8O  consider they appear in that condition regularly on Ebay and rarely go for over $150.

I agree on both counts. The 1st print Basic set is probably $25 to $50 high based on its condition, but that OCE is absolutely ridiculous. :?

I was thinking aroung $110 for the Basic, tops.  It's not as nice as described, from what I could see in the photo.

The OCE?  Fuhgeddaboudit...

Don't get me wrong that OCE was nice, but IMO its not even as nice as this set that sold just a few days ago:

One of those cases where money is not an option, he was buying it at any price ridiculous or not...  Probably missed the one you're talking about B.

Well, hopefully he'll take note of the set I have up right now and just have to have a second set.

It's the same seller as the other recent set, so I presume it's legit??
