Did you scroll down to the shipping charges section?   8O

Always! Always! Carefully check shipping on any item showing its location as China! Those sellers have the most blatant shipping overcharges.  :x

Neither.  Once again, the picture is stolen from the site. :x

I think we should rouse Hugh from his peaceful slumber.  Lot of sellers out there he might like to visit.   :D

I've always assumed that when one of these shows up in shrinkwrap that it was a recent shrink-job.  Is there any evidence that these were originally sold in shrinkwrap?

I can vividly recall back in the day when my local Coles bookstore had Chainmail on their shelves in shrink. I don't know if they did it theirself.
I was using the Holmes book for dm'ing at the time and never purchased one .  :(

Reagrding that guy selling the DM Guide with the ripped off picture.

Did you see his comment about feedback?

Does anyone else think it's a bit counter intuitive to demand that positive feedback be left first by the buyer and then, after that by the seller?  I mean all the buyer has to do to make the seller happy is pay the full amount promptly after they win the bid, period - his part of the transaction is over.  If the the buyer has paid in full and promptly after the close, why would the seller withhold leaving positive feedback?  It's like the seller is demanding that not only he be paid in full and promptly, but also that the buyer be "happy" with the product before he will leave positive feedback for the buyer!  WTF?  Why?

Seems odd to me, but let me tell you how I really feel...

No. It is, in fact, quite a common practice.

Ooo, touchy subject. :)   Maybe we should all go back to arguing about gun control, it might be less contentious.

I understand that it's a common practice Xax, I just think it's a strange one.  Like, maybe the next time I go out to dinner, I'll leave the tip first and then order my food...

Before we bury this thread in the feedback wars, it might be good to look here:

viewtopic.php?t=5197&highlight=feedback

and here:

viewtopic.php?t=4419&highlight=feedback

A couple of the most recent threads I could find. The feedback issue is defintely a contentious one, with strong supporters on both sides of the aisle and as noted above, we might be more likely to come to a consensus about Gun Control in the US as we are with the "Who leaves feedback first" question. Seriously. :)

That's clever. Really.

And exactly how much eBay selling have you done?

I'd take BC's advice and check out those threads. There's some others, too, that mention the Great Feedback Debate in passing: you should be able to find those by using the search function here.

This is not the thread for more debate on an issue where, at the end of the day, one side rarely convinces the other to change their point of view.
