The same could not be said about his M2 which went criminally cheap. Why do students bother me at the worst times? Sorry BB!

I have to say I was up and down on several auctions. The hex pad went cheap, too. But several other things went well. I had a set of boot hill minis that went for almost $80 :D  That was a huge suprise. Ah, well. The joys of ebay.

Unfortunatley, a certain bidder wons several auctions and has since been blocked. Needless to say, nothing is going in a damn M-bag!!!

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Ooh. $80 strikes me as a pretty good deal. Haven't seen those before. GW grenadier sets from the late 70's go for about $50 w/o shrink.

The boot hill minis were the first set.  An identicle set was relased later with different cover art.  You had the earlier one which is worth a few bucks more.

Funny how things work out. I think I picked it up a few years with a larger lot (probably a throw in) and it has been in storage ever since.

Time to start packing.

Good Luck,

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

I just got a new copy of the Boot Hill rulebook (2nd edition, 1st printing, 1979) today and I noticed that the inside of the back cover has an ad for this exact set of miniatures (it has a picture of the same cover in your auction). Which is funny, because I've had a copy of this same rulebook for about 20 years and I never noticed the miniatures ad before...

The ad also has a list of 50 different miniatures in the same series.

Good Luck,

Did you see this in that auction?

BOOKS:  DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS ( 3 VOLUMES)

1.  MOM AND MAGIC  2.  MONSTERS AND TREASURES  (LIGHT STAIN ON COVER , SIZE OF A NICKEL),

    3.  THE UNDERWORLD AND WILDERNESS ADVENTURES.  THERE IS ALSO A DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS REFERENCE SHEETS BOOK.  ALL COPYRIGHTED 1974.  BOOKS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE!

"MOM AND MAGIC"?

That's a new variant.

She is undoubtedly the mother of "5004 TOM OF SPELLS".

If the auction has as much lead as the description says, it's a steal at the current bid I just put in.

The 12 stands are the altars included with the original Dragon mini run by Grenadier, as are the 11 gems. A shame the dragons weren't there.

My bid was nowhere near the winning bid.  Ah, well, anything over a dozen minis is a lot to strip at one time.

The seller states "Made by an unknown company". Didn't he see the relatively large TSR with copyright underneath? Pretty neat though...

Hmm, no, I don't have a gambling problem, I'm winning, and winning is not a problem. That's like saying Michael Jordan has a basketball problem, or Def Leppard has an awesomeness problem. So why don't y'all pour some sugar on that?

In his defense, I doubt TSR actually made the frisbee.  I'd suppose they just licensed the name/artwork to whoever did the manufacturing.
