I expected to get nuked long ago, actually.

As a Canadian living near the Atlantic coast I expected that we would get the fallout from the US getting nuked. Although there was some US military documents decassified within the last few years that stated that the city of Halifax had been on the target list of the US to deny it to the Russkies... 8O

So, about the shrinky-dink R module: There is no way in hell I would ever buy a shrinked mod that was rare. No telling what you get.

I'd consider it, but not an R module to the tune of $500.  8O

Bad news, Jason....in the event of a Russian missile attack over the North Pole, the US will likely nuke the entire northern atmosphere of Canada in order to foil their attack.

If it's any comfort, we won't play favorites.  We'll probably nuke the atmosphere of North Dakota as well...only there the bursts will also feature lower level detonations in addition to the stratosphere.

Oh...and and the Sea of Japan will probably catch pre-emptive nukes as well...presuming that North Korea gets involved.  I'm sure there are other pre-emptive targets.

Sorry.  :x

North Dakota? What state is that in?
Nuking Canada would be a mistake. They have some of the best soldiers in the world. From what I understand, all three of them are expert horsemen.
Did we have plans to nuke the UK as well? That would cut the number of available ST1's considerably. That would be a shame. Such a good module.
SOOOOOOO, about the shrink: I know there are a few shrink collectors out there. How often do you guys run into rusty/soggy shrinkies?

Thanks,

I also thought that might have been a Fighting Wheel at first glance, but now I don't.  It looks like this:

Yes, the BBC made a film along those lines and called it Threads.

Probably belongs in the appraisal section. I am not trying to plug my own item, but I am shocked at the current bid total. It is quite a bit higher than my original BIN. Anybody got a clue.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

It shouldn't be forgotten that a lot of people are actually playing this stuff  :D

If someone is planning on using these in an actual campaign, they probably can't wait to get their hands on them, get reading and get started.  I'd pay $50 for those Al-Qadim items if I thought I'd be starting a campaign in a few weeks - time is of the essence and price is not that important if they are going to be used.

$50 is still cheaper than cover price for those items back in the day . . .

(Anyway - that's a possible theory  :D  )

Wow

I believe I got most of these in a large lot, along with the ones I picked up I don't think I paid over $5 per box set and I have many of those still in SW.

Sad part is I haven't read any of this stuff yet

That's a pretty good auction price you have going.  Since Al-Qadim is probably my favorite campaign I took a long look at your auction.  Typically I have good success selling opened Land of Fates and City of Delights for $15-$20 each and the Lamp for about $12.  But in the wacky world of auctions you could just as easily get $5 for them as well as $50 depending on the weather.

You guys are probably right. I just usually do not see Al Q stuff go for much. I also am woefully bad at estimating 2nd ed. stuff in general.

Anyway, thanks.
