What are you personal or group fav gaming snack foods?

Only rules to posting are: Please only list those fav items that are consumed during gaming sessions either medium ( 2 -4 hours ) or Marathon Sessions ( 4 - 36 hours ). If there is a favourite candy or beverage, list by brand name. Please dont list snacks you regularly consume when not gaming.

Here is my list to start things off:

1.) Pizza ( any kind )
2.) Aerosol cheese in a can and crackers
3.) Nuts
4.) Barebecue or spicy pork rinds
5.) Popcorn

I thought this would be a fun topic!

I'm a salt and vinegar chip or pretzel guy.  Some of the other guys like the dreaded cheesy.  The just get all over everything.

A friend of mine (Egg_of_Coot) was looking for a Hackmaster fighting wheel and the local gaming store had one but it had a big cheesy stain on it.  They had it in a comic bag and everything so you couldn't touch it directly.  It must have either been used or taken out by someone with the cheesy fingers.  He asked for a discount because of the cheesiness but they wouldn't budge.  The store was later sold and they still have the cheesey wheel for $5 but he doesn't want it now for spite :)

I'm inviting you to my next gaming session!  :D

1. Totino's Pizza Rolls.  Less messy than regular pizza.
2. Kettle Corn.  None of that greasy fake butter flavored crap.  :x
3. Fritos and Bean Dip.  A Texas delicacy.
4. Beef Jerky.  Preferably teriyaki.
5. Hot Chocolate and Pop Tarts.  During the cold months.

And after we were done we would usually pick up a few Allsup's Burritos.  If you ever go to the panhandle of Texas or northern New Mexico there is an Allsup's convenience store in every small town.  They deep fry (probably in lard) flour tortilla bean burritos until golden brown.  Squirt a little taco sauce on each bite and you will be in Nirvana for several hours...until your body becomes the largest methane production facility on the planet.

Back in the Day
1. Tortilla chips with salsa and/or jalopeno dip
2. Large stick pretzels
3. Fast Food (usually Arby's - those $1 roast beef sandwiches deals)
4. Mini Reeces Peanut Butter Cups 20 for $1 - can't go wrong there
5. Plain or BBQ chips

Today
1. Vege Pizza (wife makes it - baked crescent roll dough with cream cheese & ranch dip spread topped with carrots, brocolli & cheese
2. Tortilla chips w/salsa or mexican bean & sour cream dip
3. Grilled burgers and dogs
4. Hot wings
5. Plain or BBQ chips (can't beat the classic)

We only get together to game once a month or so. But it gives you time to plan for the ever important food portion of gaming.

L -

You see, us Americans include Beer in all our major food groups. It is just understood that beer is ever present in the fridge.

Pizza, beer and/or chips. This is was the staple back in the day, and we like to keep to the basics even now. Sometimes we'd have a fast food run during the game and it would turn out about like they do on the pages of Knights of the Dinner Table with everyone hemming and hawing through what they want for an hour.....at one point we literally banned these from our sessions because it was such a gigantic time waste.
It's fun to look through 20+ year old well worn books and character sheets and still find the grease/sauce stains on the pages from long ago sessions!

As teens, it was Doritos and junk food, but as adults it became more like hummus and pita chips.

Oh come on you guys . . .

1. Mountain Dew (ya even at this advanced age)
2. Doritos (nacho flavor)
3. Coke
4. Venison Sausage (home made, we usually call it Jay's sausage)
5. Totino's Party Pizza (warm cardboard and tomato paste can be substituted).

Beer just never goes over real well at game sessions.   We just get too damn stupid . . . and characters die.

Agreed.  Myself and the guys I played with in high school were avid drinkers but we ruled out drinking while playing D&D.  It just got too stupid.

In college I was even more prone to drink but still never played D&D while drinking or drunk.  That was reserved for more dangerous pasttimes like darts or horseshoes.  Nothing like getting ripped on tequila slammers and then throwing sharp pointy or heavy blunt objects at a target.  It is a wonder we didnt kill someone or put an eye out.  8O

I think someone else mentioned Totino's pizza.  What is Totino's?  Just another chain?
