A lot of cougarrinard's auctions seem quite reasonably priced. But he doesn't post shipping charges, which always raises the hairs on the back of my neck. Any idea how he stands on UK - US shipping?

I'm well aware of his awful reputation as a buyer. Does this extend to his selling practices?

Bend over.....you'll get it in the end with Cougie re: shipping.

I think the UK has a special rate for packages under 2kg - a small packet rate.  Which I think Coug charges 10 pounds sterling.  If your package goes over 2kg then he will ship 2 such packages for 20 pounds sterling.  This is for surface mail as well so be prepared to wait.

But the rates may have gone up since last I inquired.

http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/Price ... d=23500532

have a look at that page.

that are the UK shipping costs for a parcel of 1.99kg weight from UK to US. it also gives you all the options of different ways to ship there.

one or two of them work in the same way your media mail does.

if you want to see the costs for yourself at another weight, go here:

http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/Price ... ricingcalc

of course, these are ACTUAL rates, not what ebayers charge :)

my shipping always seems to be more than i ever charge for some reason - i really must sort that out.

Al

Yeah, what Badmike said. If you don't have the flexibility to get your head to your knees, it's just not going to be a good scene.

A lot of his auctions *are* reasonably priced, but the condition is very often worse than his trademark "VGC!!!", and you're going to get reamed on shipping.

Wow, I just checked Cougar's FB, and he's only gotten 13 negs this year (out of 10,453). Has he actually cleaned up his act?

I have always gone according to www.royalmail.com/portal/rm and added £1 for expenses (packaging, getting to post office etc). Unfortunately Paypoo want signed for which adds £3.50 (£32 cover) or £5 (up to £500 cover) to the postage.

Nah...if he gets a neg he probably just negs them back and then after a couple of weeks of whining and complaining gets them to mutually withdraw the negs.

OK

Maybe this guy is the worst in the world maybe he's not. I've bought of him several times. Every time it's been totally fine.

Some people have racknoed he treats his uk bidders beter. Well then If any of you want to bid let me know & i'll do it for you & then ship to the US for cost.

hope this helps.

Beezer.

He has something like 45 mutual withdrawls....which is actually a Neg, because that's the only reason you mutually withdraw feedback, so that neg total is skewed.
Plus, in many of his cases, when he has bought items and charged back after the "MBag didn't show up" (TM by Cougie Inc), the unfortunate victim has been paid and has already left positive feedback. Not much they can do when Cougie does a chargeback through his credit card.
If you are also in the UK you are probably ok, he seems to be quite the puss about pissing off people in his own country.  Overseas, you are fair game.  Bottom line is there are many other sellers on and off ebay of RPG stuff that you won't have to worry about like you would a Cougie sale.

Yeesh, his list prices are alright, but definitely not worth all that heartache.
