The 1996 TSR catalogue mentions the item TSR1155 "AD&D Character Generation Dice". I wonder if these were finally produced or was it only an announcement? Also the description mentions TSR8006 "AD&D Adventuring Gaming Dice Set Accessory" as supporting product. Same question: Were these produced and could somebody please provide a picture of them?

And my final question on dice: Were there any official Dice apart from the RP2 Alignment dice released by TSR for (A)D&D? (Dragon Dice Game is also excluded).

Hi Ralph,

I don't have any information on the TSR1155 set, but I do have two different TSR dice sets still on card. The first is the TSR8006(c.1986) you mentioned. It is a crystal set of assorted colors called DRAGON DICE RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR. The other set is 8005(c.1981). It is a set similiar to those that came in the 1981 Basic Set(all light blue opaque). They are also called DRAGON DICE. Hope this helps. If you want a picture let me know your email address and I will send it next week.

Hello

Sorry to necro post that topic.

I would like to know if the mentionned light blue opaque dice set from 1981 Basic set looks like these :

My quick tell-tale are the '3's,

If they're round on top like this, they're from the Moldvay sets:

If the 3s have flat tops like like, the later Mentzer sets:

The other clue are the d10s, the more round-tips are from Moldvay sets, the pointy d10s are from Mentzer sets.  So based on your pic, I'd guess yes to a 1981 set, but also look at the 3s.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng
