the good thing about Ebay's response to Mark's question though is the fact that still view themselves as "invincible". This of course is almost always the first step towards their own downfall, as this feeling of invincibility that they will prevent them seing any real threats to their current online dominance until its already to late and someone else comes along and takes the mantle away from them.

Any ideas who that could be :?:

Well it could be Google if they do pursue it like it has been rumored in the past, but if not google maybe whoever it is will come out of nowhere.  With the way things go with online businesses nowadays, who knows? If someone has their shit together, it might only take 6 months to a year for someone to come along and make a major dent in Ebay's dominance.

np to the victor goes the spoils.  It seems like much of this stuff is going up and up in value, best get the stuff while it is relatively cheap!  By the looks of the registered users on this site alone  the top is long off.

Good Luck Al

You too Brian :)
