doesnt paypal just automatically convert it anyway?

i pay USD ones all the time off my £ credit card.

mind you, if you place funds on your paypal account, you can convert them to another currency on there.

It should conrevt it automatically for you, you should be aware that you have two options for currency conversion mornally.

1) You can elect to allow paypal to convert your payments fro one currency to another
2) You can elect your credircard company to allow you converst your payments

I have chosen #2 as I though the convirsions from paypal were a bit off (ie they were making even more $$ out of me) The benefit for the dirst one is you know exactly what it is goinf to cost you, the second you have to wait until you get your credit card statment (or when its posted to your satment if you have internet banking with your credit card)

I know it works the other way; I have paid in UK pounds, CAN $ and AUS $ through PayPal (and the U.S. ebay automatically lists the U.S.$ price below the price in the native currency, as an approximation).  I can't remember if the conversion is automatic to start with or if it is a function that you have to activate yourself.

Beasterbrook is definitely right, too.

ok, tnx a lot! even though its not yet clear to me... as i understood there should be a page on my paypal account that is used for this kind of financial settings... at the moment i wasnt able to find it...

moreover, it doesnt work as you told me: if i buy an USD item and on my paypal account there is only an EUR fund, going with the automatic procedure, i'll be asked by paypal to use my credit card instead of the money in my fund, without any option for choosing wheter i prefer this or that... do you catch the point?  :?

for the time being ill try to settle my profile using the info you told me but i'm not sure to be able...

axel. if you have funds on your paypal, you can use the currency converter on there, to change the funds into something else.

i did that yesterday.
