My dear Mr. Sages, the reason for the high price is simple to deduce.

Check out the current high bidder's (yetrius) recent Ebay transactions.  He is buying up all sorts of golf equipment.  Maybe he sells it...maybe he uses it.  I'll go with the latter.  He is obviously cultured and collects things of cultural importance based on these auctions:

He is also an environmentally conscious person based on this auction:

Also if you will notice the fact that all of the golf clubs the buyer has purchased are left handed.

With all of this information it is obvious that the buyer has a large reserve of money.  It may be that the buyer is a doctor or lawyer but I doubt it since they all drive high priced european performance cars which are harmful to the environment.  And if the buyer has no cares regarding the environment then why buy the solar panels?  The buyer is most likely a music lover due to the violin purchase but definitely not a musician since they dont make much money and doubtful has time to golf since they all have to work second jobs to make ends meet.

With this said, the buyer is probably a politician.  Perhaps a high-profile lobbyist in Washington D.C.  Enjoys golfing, going to the symphony, drives a Prius or other environment-friendly car.  Not because they care but they want other people to think they care.  And to clear up any other possibilities, the buyer is left-handed and now bidding on D&D items.  Those two things right there are a sure sign of the buyer being nothing but pure evil.

Or.....

Maybe the guy has no clue about the relative value of anything D&D related and just wants it really, really bad.

:D

I really need to stop smoking crack and posting this garbage.  No offense intended for any politicians, lawyers, doctors, musicians, performance car drivers, environmentalists, golfers, or evil left-handed persons.

I believe it is because it is one of the better pictures of a 144DDG and it appears in great shape compared to most.  DDG's will come out of the woodwork but I do not believe this will change anything myself.
