I was squandering time, when I came across this blast from the past:

Anyone have any links to other D&D related commercials?

fun to watch though thats for sure :)

wonder if any of them in the ad ever see that and look back and think "OMG WTF was i doing?!!" :D :D

I've seen the Colbert one (which is great), but the D&D Book for Dummies commercial was new.

The D&D for Dummies is not a spoof (if anybody is wondering).

There was a real book published under that title.

(something else for the completists to watch for)

I know the book is real, but that ad has to be a joke.

The girl in the D&D commercial from the early 80's is Jami Gertz. You may remember her from The Lost Boys or more recently as the woman who brushed her teeth with a toothbrush that fell in Jerry Seinfeld's toilet. As for everyone else in that commercial, I have no idea who they are, but I am curious as to which animation studio worked on those pre D&D cartoon animated segments.

Actually, the "toothbrush" girl on Seinfeld was the hot one from Sex and the City.

Ok, back to lurking :D

Exactly.  The episode that Jami Gertz was in was the one where she is the phone sex operator that Kramer talks to and the one who could not "spare a square" to Elaine in the bathroom at the movie theater.
