During the very heated discussions about the new prices for stores on EBay.it forums (the censorship continues, by the way...), somebody mentioned something named EBay Express: what is this? Does anybody here uses it?

On the surface, it appears to be a "shopping cart" type of checkout system for new items:

eBay Express

I haven't looked into it in much detail, though.

It's all "Buy It Now" listings -- no auctions.  The listings are taken from regular ebay, but only from sellers who have feedback of 100 or higher.

And, as Xaxaxe pointed out, there's a shopping cart interface so buyers only have to make on Paypal transaction.

So basically, it's just an ebay interface for shoppers too impatient for auctions.

I think (but I'm not sure) that it has the added "advantage" that you can purchase from multiple sellers and make one payment.  Say there are 10 d20 items you want . . . you could purchase one from seller A, 4 from seller B, 2 from seller C, etc.  Then just make one payment - each seller is obligated to ship their items . . . though I'm not sure how shipping charges work.

That wouldn't really be "added," though ... it's possible to do the same thing thing right now just by using PayPal.

Really, I'm not sure I get it. The only factors I'm seeing that appear to be different than the "usual" eBay experience are: A) apparently, eBay Express will deal only with new items, and B) apparently, it will be possible to use a credit card and bypass PayPal completely.

I say "apparently" because ... well, like I said, I'm not sure I get it. :)
