I'd like to share some news with fellow Acaeum members: EBay.it has informed us sellers that starting from August, 22 there will be an 'update' of fees. The fees for Store sales will become TEN PERCENT of the sale value and the costs for mantaining the store will jump from circa 5 euros to 10 euros EVERY MONTH.          As you can guess, there is a revolt on EBay.it forums (and I must add that EBay routinely cancels the most tiresome messages, so the threads get shorter and not longer - is that legal?). I have immediately closed my store and moved it on EBay.be where fees are far lower (2 euros at month...) and the currency is the euro. Considering that my store sales will show on EBay.it, there will be no problem (and I'll be able to mention Postepay cards...). If you are interested, please read my blog posting (in English) at http://italyforforeigners.blogspot.com/ and suggestions about the proper way of handling the matter will be much appreciated. The are many bones of contention with EBay.it inept management such as virtual impunity for people selling bootleg copies of virtually everything (from watches to DVD), lousy customer service, no support line or chat, anti competition rules (no prepaid cards) and much more. This is simply the last straw. THIS TIME IS WAR

They are raising the prices here in America as well . . . I suspect they will do it everywhere soon enough.

I noticed, but EBay.it fees are higher and their service (believe me, I use both) far worse. I use regularly the EBay,com live help to get answers about the EBay.it site and policies. Go figure
