sorry for breaking this wonderful discussion... but i'd like to outline that nor englishmen neither americans use the metric system...

both of you use atavic units such as miles, pints, gallons and so on... it's just as if in italy we have "cubiti" and other roman terms...

i'm amazed that you can find smtg to argue when the real "generally agreed system" is a third one!  :D

When Canada was still on the imperial system, it still wasn't completely consistent with the US.  Our gallon is bigger - I don't know if this carried over to quarts or not.  So when you went to the pumps you knew that you were buying 1 Canadian gallon of gas but when you bought paint or some other items, if they were packaged in the US they could be the smaller US gallon.

So even when this was a general agreed upon system it still had some problems.

We are metric here!!

Maybe the 1st print up on ebay is metric :)   Smaller books than the imperial ones.

For those that may not share my sense of humour:  1 mL = 1 cc.

And the seller says yes, the Art Prints are advertised in the catalog in book 1.

I knew what ^ ^ meant, but I have no clue as to what :3 means except it kind of resembles a nut sack turned sideways. :?

I'd put my 3 on top of a woody in a second. No connotations there.
Back on topic: 1sts seem to be fairly prolific lately. How many is that this year? More than 2nd's, I believe.

This one is over my head.  What does this mean?  That it isn't a first printing?  Or that the books are newer than the box?

Frank thinks a version exists that does not advertised the artprints.  Its like the Loch ness monster; only sightings and no proof so far :D
